It was in the middle of wet season when I arrive, the water was ankle deep at the entrance . I went here because it was number 1 recommendation in the guides. But as usual these guides are woefully incorrect. Do they accept bribes, or something ? It had a all reception area with a table to eat on and... More

The location in good only 1 minute walk from the main artery (Road 13) in the tourist belt). Near-by are he restaurants, banks, minimarkets, travel gents and the shop center. The are garden, with fish ponds and the court-yard at the center property and the dining/common room. The staff are rather friendly but no much info provided. I stayed in... More

Two men were on reception when a group of us arrived and they were very unhelpful and unfriendly to us throughout our stay. We only stayed here one night because of this, and because there's not much to do in Pakse anyway. Some went off to do the Bolavan Plateau tour and some of us went on the Southern Swing... More

We stayed in a double room with fan (overpriced since we had shared bathroom). During the night we found bedbugs in our room (nr. 5)... Next morning we left and did get half of our money back. Besides the bedbugs, it is a nice and friendly backpacker guesthouse. Good place to meet other backpackers!

Went there on a LP recommendation. We were given a double room with ensuite that was very dilapidated.Went out and came back later to find a stench from the toilet had stunk the room out.Reception came and started pouring huge quantities of water and chemicals down the toilet. We were given another room close by,completely airless and so small there was hardly... Double fan bedroom was basic. Clean bed with mosquito net, which was needed as this place is swamped in mozzies! Shared bathrooms were reasonably clean with hot showers (although they did smell). Wifi seemed hit and miss and didn't work in our bedroom. Non-aircon rooms could get unbelievably hot due to a metal roof. However it has a good location,... More

Sabaidy 2 is a nice guest house, which is popular with travelers. We got lucky, but it's advisable to book ahead. The guest house is pretty well organized and the rooms are clean. The more expensive double rooms upstairs are a good deal: Bigger rooms with, a sort of, private balcony. A nice place to drink a Beerlao. The staff... More

I came off the night bus from Vientiane and three of us shared a room here for 40,000 kip each. The beds were nice enough but the room did not include a private bathroom or have air conditioning. They also could really do with some mosquito nets. Sound echoes throughout the guesthouse at night through the wooden floors and it... More

In lonely planet was writtem that rooms are 50000kips but when we arrived price was 95000 kips. Rooms are really poor and not worthet for thos money. Dont gp there. You can find decent hotel in Pakse for 80000 kips. In my opinion when they are described in lp they allways increase prices. Btw people in sabaidy2 are lazy and... More

Decent size room for the price. Staff can be helpful with information and will look after your bags if you're off trekking. There's a big communal table outdoors which is good for meeting other travellers.
