Our 250,000 kip room was very nice and clean with a beautiful view from the fifth floor of the mountains. Unfortunately the air con unit was not strong enough to keep the room cool. The other rooms I looked at had the same air con unit so I assume they all have the same problem.

We are backpackers and stay normaly in cheaper places. But all guesthouses were full so we took a room for 200.000Kip and we had a clean, big room! We got what we expected for the price. The towels and sheets were very clean! The stuff was very fiendly and helpful.

The hotel is quite basic (decoration is not what you come for) but clean and it provides all the facilities may want (fridge, kettle, wifi), The main advantage of this hotel is its location.: in the old town centre. You are 5 min walk from the Wat Luang and the old market. You have a bank just next to it... More

The town of Pakse doesn't have lots of options to stay but it's still the second most populated town in Laos. On the west part of town you will find the most places. You can't miss this big hotel which looks good from the outside. Staff was friendly but had much difficulties to speak English. The rooms are clean, big and... More

I stayed at the hotel for business trip. It locate in the center of city and convenient to go to anywhere. There are many reasonable restaurants around the hotel.

I booked this hotel because of the great write up it got on lonley planet. Could have been a completely different hotel as was completely opposite to how they discribed it. My room was grubby and dirty with heavy dirt stains on the light switch, dirty skirting boards and very dirty and scuffed walls. Travelling for 2 months and it... More

Stayed for 2 nights in early February 2014. Paid $135,000 kip for a double room. This hotel appears quite posh from the entrance but once you move to the back building it's not so posh anymore. Overall, the hotel was fine but I wouldn't choose to stay there again. We were getting the night bus out of town and they... More

This was the first bigger hotel in downtown Pakse. Now, with much competition, also by the owner's own brother who owns Champasak Grand Hotel, not many people come to Sang Arun any longer. At the Grand Hotel you get a much better room, location and standard for the same price. Here at Aroun the rooms are tired, paint peels everywhere,... More

We booked this hotel in order to have a nice break for our anniversary, during travelling and just simply wanted to relax in a bit better standard hotel, that we naively thought Sang Aroun is. Well, it wasn't. It was under expectations. We stayed 2 nights and it was too much. First of all we booked the hotel before we... More
