Just 10 min from railway station Near to the lake garden as well as the zoo. Strategically located Rooms were nice and clean Staff was friendly too It takes 12 Rm by taxi from the station or even to visit the zoo No breakfast though. Its located in a shopping complex. Hence a departmental store right beneath is an advantage

Once again in 2014 during my visit to Malaysia, I spent 2 nights at thePanorama Hotel in Jalan Kota, Taiping. Taiping still reminds me of my early childhood visits during my school holidays with my mum and aunty. Though new buildings and landscape have emerged, the old Taiping charm is still there and very enticing. A 5 minute walk from... More

Book a room at the Panorama and you'll be transported to an earlier era where porn was shown in cinemas and everyone smoked cigarettes - the airy, darkly-lit rooms here are representative of the countless travelling salesmen's hotels that continue to dot rural Thailand and Malaysia in spite of the fact that we're no longer in the early 80s. This... More

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband as pasrt of a 2 week holiday. It was almost the most expensive place we stayed and it was the poorest of all (4) of them. Aircon dripped water on to the carpet. Threadbare towels in the bathroom. The best thing was the wall to wall window whicich, from the 5th... More

Taiping is my father's hometown. and this is our first time staying in the hotel. Normally we just stay at our relatives house. We went back there for a wedding of my cousin. But this time, we decided to stay at the hotel as my brother just have a baby so ot is better for us to stay at the... More

My family and I have repeatedly stayed here as long as I could remember. For as low as RM 94, you will get a standard room (2 singles). The room itself is rather spacious and I could even have a space for 1 single airbed for my 4-year-old son to play jump! They have a few extra tv channels which... More

This is my second visit to Taiping and I stayed at the Panorama hotel on both occasions. The location is fabulous as it is central. The room itself was clean and tastefully decorated. The hotel has a touch of post colonial mood without being to outdated. Eateries are close at hand and so are shops. It is a nice walking distance to... More

Right in the middle of town on the Main road, it is the location that attracts anyone to stay here. They have "refurbished" the place recently, with Wi-fi access, and also revamped the shopping arcade attached. Still, it lacks the nice clean modern amenities that seasoned travellers crave for. Still, if its for a night or two, I am sure... More

I stayed here quite often on my business trip. This is my second review of this hotel. The hotel is situated right in the middle of Taiping town. There is a shopping center located within the same building, Pizza Hut and KFC just a few doors away. As I am from Taiping myself, I remember this hotel to be about... More

We're in the Centre of city but there's sewage smells along the roadside. Receptionist are very friendly. They ran out of extra bed, but was offered deluxe room instead! so not... More
