Quite sad indeed to see this hotel in such a state compared to what it was many many years ago. It looks awfully old and tired. Sheets were not clean, room was not clean as well. Hope it gets better !

Old towels. The toilet wasn't cleaned properly. Felt itchy sleeping on the bed. old TV set - dinosaur age. lousy breakfast with limited choices. totally not worth RM200.00 per nite. Horrible. Will not stay again even if offered free stay. Mr. Kissna cheras

From Butterworth took a public bus to Sungai Petani bus terminal about an hour, from there took a cab about M$ 10-15 to the hotel. First time check in to this hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Room and wash room in an average . Test the mixture shower tap before you use, may be both side hot. You can request... More

we went there for Thaipusam. The hotel isin walking distance to the temples. The rooms are in good shape, basic amenities in the bathroom, hot shower was working with good water pressure, beds are a little small, airconditioning is fine. The breakfast offer a good selection for everyone.

Second time here under new management. The bathroom really seriously need refurbishment. Larger towel would be nice. Should pay attention to minor but important aspect- eg curtain cannot be closed fully, some points not even hooked-up. Paid only RM80/nite (without breakfast) the last time I was here. Todays price is RM180/nite with breakfast.

For the second visit I got the room at the lower level beside the swimming pool. For the price it is value for money. Spacious rooms. Clean. Near to the mosque and also town.... More

The hotel is now under a new management and has a new name - Amanpura Sungai Petani. It is a hotel based on Islamic concept and is dry. Despite under a new management, there didn't seem to be any real refurbishment other than cosmetic. The room is spacious, the bed has clean sheets, the aircon works well and there is... More
