The room is considerably ok for 2 adults 2 kids. They only hv 2 single beds in the room and 2 of us will be using the tatami. It's good experiences for the kids. They enjoyed wearing the yukata. The room that we had faced the lake toya. Very beautiful. Good place to relax and enjoy.

The breathtaking view at the Kohantei is awesome! The bath area is consider big for a hot spring hotel, even the outdoor bath area have a few pools to offer. The lobby provide free wifi, meals were alright & acceptable, the room are the usual Japanese size & style. Overall, it's good if not we won't stay here twice. :-)

It's our second time to Toya Lake. Last time we stayed at Manseikaku 10 years ago. The room here is normal, but bathroom space is a little tight. The decoration is old and It has some smell in room. However, the dinner in room is pretty good. Tasty and full. Considering the price, this is still a good choice to... More

We spent 2 nights. Buffet breakfast and dinner included. Good buffet spread but some of the food are a bit cold. Reasonable rates. Rooms are big. We share 3 people to a room. Choose a room with lake view. Rooftop onsen with beautiful lake view.

We booked a room with lake facing view which was a great choice as we had a panaromic view of the lake. During the nightly fireworks, you can enjoy the beautiful displays from the comfort of your room. The room was large and comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast had good spread.

I had a wonderful experience in the traditional Japanese style room. The hotel has a wonderful firework view. If you booked a room facing the lake, you may watch the firework in comfort from the room, otherwise you can just watch it from outside of the lobby while enjoying a hot spring footbath in open air. The hotel is a... More

The room was fantastic. It was a mixture of traditional tatami room decor on one side and modern style beds for sleeping on the other. Best of all was the view of Lake Toya. For the nightly fireworks display, it was fantastic. The dinner and breakfast buffets provided were good.

Traditional Japanese style room with old facility. Viewable lake from room, outside the lobby can easily enjoy the fireworks in the night from May to October when good weather. WIFI available only in the lobby. By turns outdoor hot springs is good (one day for men and the next day for ladies) but a little disappointed to the meals.

Huge hotel. Big room. Clean. Awesome onsen indoor and outdoor. Near with bus station. Fantastic view in winter. Breakfast oke. Have convenient store inside. We choose traditional tatami, it was nice experience. Love love outdoor onsen will never forget. Really enjoy this hotel so much.

This is a sister facility to the Meisuite. The view is great as is the location as you look directly over the Lake. The room however are run down and imagine the phones are still the rotary type! Talk about quaint. The buffet compared to Meisuite is a far cry from the spread and service. Not worth the cost.
