This hotel was disappointing overall. Hotel is very run down and not well maintained both indoors and on the grounds. The internet was ridiculous, there were two computers and sometimes they worked and sometimes they didn't, but they would still charge you for the time even when the computer was clearly not working. After several days of this my friend... more

Resort was awesome. The weather was great. We stayed from June 22 to June 28. The staff were very helpful and the language barer was no problem. \the food was great also with chefs to prepare food for you at each meal. The beach was amazing. With crystal clear water and white sand. The only thing was the mosquitos. They... more

My Daughter and I stayed at the Sol Cayo Santa Maria from May 31st to June 07th. I am so grateful to the wonderful staff at the Sol for treating us like gold and for going many extra miles to ensure our comfort and a perfect 26th birthday celebration for my Daughter. I am also so grateful to all the... more

We were dreading the flight as it's our first longhaul and were pleasantly suprised that it wasn't as bad as expected. The welcome at the hotel was lovely and we really appreciated that the bell boys brought your luggage to your room, instead of having to lug heavy cases in the heat. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are extremely... more

This was our first trip to Cuba so wasn't sure what to expect, on arrival at the airport was pleasantly suprised by how friendly all the security staff were, a nice change from some countries where they just grunt, snatch passports off you stamp them and almost throw them back. Liked the way the female staff are dressed in mini... more

My sister and I went for a week ( May 16-23rd) just to sit and relax. Relax we did, down at the gorgeous beach from 9am to 4pm. I would walk the beach around 6:30 am every morning just to watch the sunrise and collect seashells. The staff are super, no complains on that. Maria at the front desk is... more

My sister and I stayed at the Sol from May 16-23 and had a great week. We are in our early 40's and just wanted to get away for a week at the beach. We booked with ACV and were happy with their service other than the hotel rep. She gave out wrong info on how to book the a... more

The resort is a nice place, doesn't feel crowded even when fully booked, beautiful beach although very soft sand that someday made it hard to walk for long periods. It was really windy when I was there (Apr. 7-21) and the red flag was up often. The food is great, lots of choice. I would recommend this resort with caution.... more

My self and my best friend went to Sol Cayo for a week in the end of April. Had a blast, except for the weather. Was windy everyday so we couldn't do any watersports, but we were told that was not normial. Staff were very friendly, even with the language barrier. They try there upmost to make you comfortable. Food... more

My girlfriends and I were looking for somewhere to go for a nice vacation right after exams. We randomly picked Sol Cayo because it was the cheapest vacation package we could afford. When we arrived at the resort, the check in was very quick and easy. There was someone handing out drinks, and a bellboy service that brings your luggage... more
