Pretty basic accommodation to have an evening's rest before the hike up to Adam's peak at 2am. Guesthouse is conveniently located near the base of Adam's peak and near a small town where you can buy snacks and warm clothing (if you need it for the hike up). It is not a luxurious accommodation so keep your expectations to a... More

As we were using this place as just a place to stay before climbing Adam's Peak, we weren't too fussed about where we stayed so we really didn't have high expectations. But as it turned out, it was kinda the perfect place to stay. The rooms were clean but basic, the dinner buffet was good along with a super view... More

We stayed for one night in February. Hotel is nicely located at the end of Dalhousie village and ideally placed for Adams Peak. Unfortunately the main problem was the building works going on behind the hotel which continued until after 9.00 pm and meant we didn't get a lot of sleep for our midnight departure for the climb.

For the price you pay the hotel offers very basic facilities which the most important is that it is clean. The beds clean, clean linen, toilet was clean, friendly staff and from the balcony we had a great view of Adams Peak. For dinner they served good buffet dinner. In our group we had a 10 year old who ate... More

Room overlooking building work and not especially clean. Had to jump to put shower on- I'm female but 168cm ie not short. WiFi did not work in room, overpriced for what it offers. The owners were lovely and checked by phoning the room to see if I wanted supper ( I had already eaten) and kindly gave me water for... More

Went here to get a change of scenery from our guest house before hiking Adam's Peak and based on positive reviews (perhaps more pertaining to the hotel itself). The food was served buffet-style like most meals we encountered and generally had pretty good variety for carnivores and vegetarians. Compared to all the other amazing food we had in Sri Lanka,... Having read the earlier reviews about the food, we decided tot have dinner at Slightly Chilled. The buffet offers a great variety of Sri Lankan food. Starting with a nice vegatable soep and some bread. The main course gives you the choice between cooked rice, fried rice and noodles. Try the very nicely spiced chicken and vegetable portions! Dessert is... More

Along main road leading towards Adam's Peak. Clean hotel and restaurant and room. Note that Double bed is at the lowest level, twin bed room is at the higher floor. Easy access to Adam's Peak. The hotel can arrange personal guide to trek up to Adam's Peak at around Rs2000 per guide.

As the name would suggest, the folk here are pretty laid back - the place has a nice feel to it. We stayed two nights, we arrived one afternoon, rose early the next morning to climb Adam's Peak, then stayed on for the day to recover and soak up the hill country atmosphere. It was a good plan and one... More
