Avoid Room 9 on the ground floor. Unable to secure room because the window lock did not function. Bathroom tiles painted black and pieces of paint floated around when showering and, therefore, a questionmark about cleanliness of bathroom floor. This is a small oblong bedroom and furnishing needs improving to cater to comfort of guests. Access to Room 9 is... More

Booking confirmed via booking.com and even the hotel (extra bed) themselves. 24 hours before check-in they called and cancelled, they claimed double booking and offered a very small room instead or to arrive Sunday (dooh!) Unprofessional - stay away.

Small hotel with high standards. Rooms are on the smaller size but fully equipped. Very nice staff. Stayed one night and took the fixed dinner of lobster soup and plank steak. High quality - also in wine selection. The total cost were DKK 2.000 - actually quite a reasonable price for the quality through out. An extra item: The near... More

I had a lovely, relaxing weekend here. The view toward the sea is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. The interior of the hotel has a nice mix of Scandinavian modernism and other touches that make it feel warm and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful.Excellent breakfast. Above all, the evening meals were memorable - among... More

Cooking on a high level. Nordic cuisine with some refinement. Just 1 or maybe 2 courses so call before to make a reservation. The setting is unique on the sea. You will like it. Samsø itself is a calm island so the setting is perfect.

Beautiful views across cornfields to the sea, and the kind of silence and tranquillity that makes you breathe more deeply. The welcome was warm; wine cupboard in the dining room where you could help yourself and jot down details on an honesty sheet. Friendly staff; like everyone else in Denmark, spoke impeccable English, and were always helpful. Food was good,... More

What else to add to the other positive reviews? Huge, immaculate rooms, a bucolic view to the west towards the beach, lovely breakfast, helpful and friendly staff. Any downsides? A little hard to find, I suppose. Samsoe is a quiet island, not much changed in the past generation, so if you're looking for night life and culture, this is not... More

This small hotel could be awarded the title: ‘Pearl of Samsø’. Located in the middle of farmlands with a great view to the sea it’s a place to relax and recharge your batteries. From the joint living room, the restaurant and especially from the large terrace, where meals are served during summer, you have a breathtaking sunset view. We stayed... More

This is a sort of place that makes you lower your shoulders and really relax. The view from the terrace of the surrounding fields and the sea is just incredible. The terrace is situated so that you can enjoy the sunset while eating dinner outside. The food and service was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a... More
