We booked via Trip Advisor and the reviews and were very pleased. This was just the right place for us in La Cumbre. While the Castillo is a 100 year old classic stone building, it is run more like a family inn with 4 star hotel amenities. The building is a star. The main staircase should be in listed in... More

Our time as the Castillo was a mixture of fluke bad lack and horrible customer service. My wife and I had booked three nights as the Castillo many months in advance because of the amazing reviews of the accommodations and the food in the attached restaurant. We booked specifically because of the available dining because we were not travelling with... More

This is a place worth a trip by itself. The hosts have thought of every detail to make it an unforgettable experience. We stayed at the suite El Príncipe, its name reflects the fact that an Austrian prince, friend of Herr Macl lived there for many years. The linen is Egyptian cotton and robes are provided, all in pure white.... More

We had a wonderful stay in this very nice mansion situated on the top of the hill with a magificient view over la cumbre from the garden...and from the pool. The landlords were very kind and gave us tips to visit the places nearby, including the jesuits historical site. They also prepare a superb dinner (starred restaurant type) in the... More

Sometimes you come across an perfect gem of a place to stay and this is one of those. Situated on a hill above La Cumbre, it provides a splendid view of the surrounding countryside. A renovated palace, one feels that one has stepped into another time. Our room, Las Calas, was spacious and extremely well appointed. The only drawback is... More

The Castillo de Mandl is a destination in itself .1) The location is superb, a 25 minute walk from the center. You will find the most beautiful view from every corner in the Castle. 2) The place is EXTREMELY well kept, exactly as shown in the pictures. It shows a lot of care and dedication. Everything is spotless clean (something... More

The position is superb and the owners delightful, however the place is in a time warp. It is nice to preserve the history but modern amenities must be added. The hotel is silent as a grave If you want a monastic e type retreat this is it!. Rooms need to have hair dryers, t.v and mini bar.at the very least.

Arranged by the friends who were traveling with us, this is a beautiful place to stay. Our hosts Guillermo and Carlota were superb. They made sure we enjoyed our stay there...with plenty of suggestions and guidance. Sometimes it was just the simplicity of a nice conversation after dinner. Speaking of dinner, make sure you enjoy one of their amazing meals.... More

With another couple, my wife and I stayed at this beautiful hotel in La Cumbre, Cordoba Province in Central Argentina. Our room selection was made using the hotel's web page, and I must confess that pictures coincided with reality. All rooms were large, very confortable, beautifully decorated (including period furniture), spotlessly clean and with fantastic views overlooking not only La... More

Incredible location, at the top of hill with a magnificent view of the surrounded mountains and the village "La Cumbre". The building consist in an elegant castle with an austrian flavour and lot of history. The present owners welcome every guest and attend every request. Superb service and wonderful chats share with Guillermo and Carlota, so knwoledgeable of the past... More
