The hotel is stunningly adapted to the landmark, respects well Salta's classy arquitecture. Food is very good. Highly recommended for hopping by in Cachi, a must-go place if you plan to visit Salta!!!

We stayed at this hotel while on a hiking tour in the region. By the time one gets to Cachi, your travels have taken you off the regular tourists' route (the road into town from the south is not paved and hasn't been for about 80 Km). This hotel is a bit out of town - making it less convenient.... More

dusty trail up to the hotel, but wonderful views of the mountains when you get there. White hacienda building, the interior is beautiful interior decor. Our room on the first floor was huge, with a sitting room and balcony, we could sleep with the windows open as the windows had fly screens and there was a lovely breeze. It was... More

We staid for one night en route from Cafayate to Salta, and it was a wonderful break. Located a short drive from town (thankfully well-signed), this elegant hotel offers luxuries and creature comforts that give the place an oasis-like feel after many hours of driving down rugged gravel roads. We were greeted by a polite, English-speaking receptionist, and our room... More

One night stay 2/11-2/12/15 while touring the wine region of Salta-the hotel is a 5-10 minute drive from the square in Cachi. To the point: would I stay here again?? YES! Would've loved to have stayed for at least two nights to enjoy the incredible view from the pool area and patio! We had a king bedded room at the... More

Ok, it is not in Cachi itself, but the location is great and the view amazing. The staff at the restaurant is one of the nicest I met in Argentina. One little low: noise spreads easily in the rooms, I guess the price to pay when staying in such old building.

We arrived at this hotel after over 100k of driving on twisting, narrow gravel roads. We were tired and dusty and this hotel was just what we needed. The rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. We had a view of the country side and kept our windows open so that the cool, dry air could circulate in the room.... More

This hotel has rustic charm and the views surrounding it are breathtaking! It's a no frills hotel, there are no televisions, they use actual old fashioned room key's although it does have wifi. The food is creative and highly recomendable! The staff works hard to provide a real retreat where you eat incredible food's, and sleep soundly in clean quiet... More

We travelled for 3 weeks in Argentina mixing youth hostel, top hotels and regular hotels. Among the top hotels we have been to La merced del alto is my favorite. We were treated as VIP, the room was beautiful, the swimming pool was refreshing and had a view on the mountains, the stay was very relaxing. I would definitely recommend... More

While on first arrival this hotel presents well - a hacienda style with a simple but stylish decor - unfortunately it is let down by minimal service, lack of English speaking staff, low maintenance and basic amenities in the rooms. Reading other reviews I am surprised as our experience was vastly different. The pool was not clean, there were no... More
