I started dating a wonderful lady, and decided to visit this region of Argentina. We arrived from Salta by car, and found ourselves in a marvellous place hosted by a tipical familly of Salta. Superb room, spacious spaces, a five fittings bathroom with natural light, superb views and a stone mill, in the middel of the restaurant. the food was... More

Thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful two nights here during our trip to Argentina. We were made to feel so welcome, we felt that we had our own beautiful home in a stunning setting. The wine was excellent and the food good home cooking. The empanadas made locally were a particular highlight. Cachi is pretty and tranquil and the journey from Salta... More

What was supposed to be something very romantic stay turned out to be a disaster. This hotel is a rip off with bad service from the owner and no English spoken so it is almost impossible to clear up misunderstandings. Owners knock on our door all the time, no moment of rest for ourselves. The worst of all is that... More

Lets start with something positve. The location and the property are really nice and well taken care of. We booked the standard room but got upgraded to the suite when we arrived as other guests did not show up. This was a nice gesture from the landlady (Mrs. Durand). However, before we even got into our room (and before we... More

Just happened on this page and although I had not written a review after my stay there several years ago I felt I needed to warn, "watch your money when paying your bill". The owners cheated me out of $90.00 and would not refund said when I brought it to their attention. The employees were wonderful and were treated like... More

This is a charming property with all the amenities one could ask for. Alberto, his wife and their staff are warm and inviting, willing to share this special place with visitors. We stayed in the master suite and it was amazing. The food is also special as is the scenery. We traveled in Argentina for a couple of weeks and... More

After a long drive to reach Cachi there could have been no better place to arrive to draw breath and completely relax. The El Molino was a wonderful place - a cross between a family home, a boutique hotel and a bodega - to spend a couple of days, and we would have happily spent more time here had it... More

My partner and I are well-travelled through out Argentina and understand that the provinces may not always stand up to the cosmopolitan attitudes found in Buenos Aires, but nothing prepared us for the hostility and scorn the matron of El Molino cast upon us due to us being a male couple wishing to share the same bedroom (and bed). After... More

More of a private house than a hotel a little way out of the town up a verdant valley towards the mountains. Comfortable bedrooms and sitting rooms. You breakfast in the mill room where a working wheel grinds maize for the neighbours. Pleasant grounds down to the stream and a lovely swimming pool next to the gushing mill leat. Dinner... More
