The hotel is very clean and the beds are comfortable. We had a master suite with a spectacular view of the beach and Malecon. Although it has cooking capabilities and a good refrigerator, we mostly just stored cold water and drinks and fruits and juices from the market. The lowest cost rooms are without windows or views but the rooftop... More

I have the best room with a balcony facing the beach. The sound of the ocean is calming and exciting at the same time, and the view is lovely. The internet works well. It's a walk up, no elevator with about 4 floors and maybe 9 rooms per floor. However, you can hear the tourists and the noise until about... More

My first time in Progreso, and I have to say I was taken aback by the view from the window facing the Gulf. You're sitting on your balcony and overlooking the Malecon. Or you're sitting inside working with the blinds open giving you that inspirational and calming view Great location being the closest hotel to the cruise ship pier, good... More

Traveling alone trying to find a comfortable place is not easy in Progreso. . I looked at 4 places and I would have been depressed by morning. This hotel was new and the rooms facing the bay are great, they have a balcony and full kitchen and a very good bed. The TV was good too. So I spent 2... More

I went to Progreso to view properties for potential move. Stayed at the Playa Linda for 10 days. Hotel was more than expected. Because of my interest I picked a lower rate hotel with excellent ratings. No frills, pool, restaurant, room service, just a place to sleep and clean up in. It was great. Because of the no frills I... More

We stayed at Playa Linda for 10 days Nov 4-14th, 2014. Progreso is not a resort town, we have been a few times before and wee looking for a reasonable hotel on the Malecon. Playa Linda fit the bill. The room was facing the gulf, had two queen beds, a bath with a shower, t.v. (with english movie channel) and... More

This hotel is in Great Location - Great View - less then block away from amazing Bar/Rest . The price is also good. This town is small but great for weekend stay. Nice Calm Waters. Staff was helpful too!

This is a small hotel right on the beach in Progreso. We can sit on the patio and watch all the action below or close the window and enjoy the quiet and AC. Lots of great restaurants and bars nearby - although the best are a few blocks back from the beach (El Toro, Sol Y Mar, and the Naked... More

My family of three stayed here one night and it was HORRIBLE! Around midnight a group of drunk people came through the 2nd floor hallway where we were staying, and were incredibly loud and sounded like they were throwing things in the hallway. It sounded like a big group of people, they began knocking on all the room doors, including... More

That being said, I paid the extra money for the full ocean view. Clean, modern rooms. Very friendly hotel staff, right by all the good restaurants, and of course across the street from the beach. The only downside is that the balconies don't have a wall between them, so private balcony ocean viewing isn't really an option. I noticed hotel... More
