2nd ice fishing trip in Manitoba, 1st at Baker’s Barrow. Great fishing (though we did not manage to get a trophy they are out there!) The log cabin was clean and homey with wood stove to keep the place nice and toasty whit while it’s -20 outside ^_^ Friendly and super helpful staff and owner. We ran into a nerve wrecking situation with the truck the day prior checking out and thanks to the owner and his dad we were able to get it fixed and leave for home the next day as planned. They also recommended where we could stop along the way which we were truly grateful. All in all a great adventure and ice fishing trip! Will plan to return despite the 20-hr drive!

I loved this place! The fishing exceeded my expectations for Pike, Lake Trout and Walleye. The cabins are small, but was perfect for me as a solo traveller and would be good for a few people. My guides John and Scott were awesome with many many years of fishing experience. I would venture to say they are fishing finatics, Haha! I loved the flyout day for Walleyes with the shore lunch. I can't believe I have to wait until next June to come back!

We have gone to bakers narrows lodge several times before. This year was terrible. The fishing lodge had no boat dock to launch a boat with. It had been getting worse for last 2 years. This year it was knocked off its pier, and marked as use at your own risk. They were still making staff use it. We were told only once we were up there that if we wanted something else we had to pay to go to the park to launch. It's a fishing lodge. You don't wait until the dock is so bad you can fall through it, and yes you can fall through this dock. When you have to lay down plywood to cover the rotting timbers last year it's beyond time to replace the dock It's also got rocks and timbers right where your boat is supposed to launch making it dangerous for your boat. It had been this damaged for 4-6 weeks before we even arrived. We were told a guest had already fallen though this dock.

This was such a lovely place to stay! Beautiful scenery, romantic atmosphere, great fishing. My partner and I kept saying “this is what a cabin should be like- it even smells like a cabin should smell.” Thanks for the great experience! ♥️

We spent 5 days on the water at Bakers Narrows. I’m a very inexperienced fisherman but now I’m a convert! The accommodations were very comfortable, the meals were really good and the the fishing was more fun than I ever expected. Every single person working at the resort wants you to have fun and to catch fish. Everyone we asked had a suggestion for a spot to try. We spent two days with their guide, John, and that was beyond awesome. We are now working on a return date.

Excellent stay and wonderful experience at Baker’s Narrows Lodge. We had a guide for our first full day and my wife was able to catch her first lake trout of many during our time there. The accommodations were clean and well stocked with all the essentials for our stay. We will definitely be back again.

First trip to bakers narrows, with my 88 year old grandpa and dad. The service provided by Emily and our guild Mac was second to none. Check in and check out was simple and smooth. The office has a selection of merchandise and tackle if you need. Being our first time on apathap we decided to hire a guild. Max was both knowledgeable and had everyone laughing. Accomidations were comfortable and had all the amenities. Definitely putting bakers on the must return list of destinations

This was my second time at Bakers Narrows Lodge and it was just as amazing as the first time I went down. Brett and the crew at Bakers have a great location right off the HWY, being far enough north that you feel like you drove into the bush to get there. They have a great easy going atmosphere that makes for a nice relaxing stay! Both times I have been up there I was greeted by the owner Brett and treated like we have been friends for years! The Fishing is unbelieveable! Last summer I was up there in July for my Stag with 6 of my closest friends with very little fishing experience and we all caught BIG fish! If you have a chance to fish with Mac, book him as your Guide, he provides the best guided experience that I have had at any lodge, from helping you with the right baits to knowing the right spot and when to move depending on many variables! Greg is also an amazing guide with great experience and can help you with all your fishing needs! Bakers offers it all, if you want to have an intense fun filled fish catching Vacation this is your spot! It is also a great spot to bring your family as the Log Cottages are very homey and make you feel like you are up in the wilderness, also very comfy beds. The cottages all come with TV, showers, fridge and freezers as well as coffee makers with coffee in your room, shampoo, soap and lotion as well as folded towels ready watiing for you when you arrive, it really makes the experience that much better! I would reccomend 10/10 on all aspects of Bakers Narrows! This will be my main spot for longer fishing trips, as this lake has MONSTER FISH and many in the master angler catagory! I plan on returning this spring it was such a great time! Winter or summer Bakers is the fishing destination you want to get to and its an easy drive! MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR MAC AS YOUR GUIDE!!!
