I did an adventure motorbike ride with a friend into the outback and the Innamincka Hotel was on our itinerary. Along the way, and via some reviews here, all we heard was how expensive the hotel was, the food was and the accommodation was. We approached the place with some trepidation, thinking we're about to be charged a fortune for... More

Given that this town is basically in the middle of nowhere, it's still very good quality. Rooms are a good size with comfy beds and as it was 40 degrees outside in the middle of a dust storm, the air con is very welcome. It's cool and quiet. We were there on the roast buffet night and loved the unlimited... More

We arrived at Innamincka late in the afternoon as part of a 3 day trip "outback". We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality of the accommodation and the Hotel itself. The meals were great! Was lovely to relax in cool surroundings after a big day out in the heat.

We arrived at dusty and isolated Innamincka, hoping to grab something to eat and have a cold drink. Air conditioned comfort was a bonus and the initial first impression was that it was clean. We thought we'd save setting up and support the locals by buying lunch. Arriving with a family of six is never cheap. But, their menu made... More

We had had a long day of driving on treacherous rocky tracks (inc a shredded tyre) and then ended the day with a dust storm. We were pleasantly surprised to find our accommodation to be so good although unfortunately (due to the dust storm) everything (and I mean everything) was coated in red dirt. We were on a tagalong tour... More

Flew in and had lunch at the pub. The best steak sandwich I have had for a long time. Great choice of drinks and even fine wine such as Grange! The new addition to the pub is very nice. The museum next door is very interesting as is a look in the trading post.

We booked online, not realizing this was not our only option in Innamincka. We paid $155 a night for a pleasant room with a dirty shower which had hair and someone else's rubbish in the shower cubicle and a very noisy exhaust fan which obviously needed a clean. Our big mistake was thinking that by paying this amount we would... More

We booked into the Innaminkca hotel when we were in Birdsville and the quoted us $170 for a double room in the bunk house. The rains came down and everyone wanted a room for the night and they just kept on jacking up the price for weary and muddy travelers. When we booked out that wanted to charge us $190!... More

After travelling all day we were looking forward to a good meal, shower and comfy bed. Unfortunately, we found this hotel to be rather overpriced and have a lack of customer service.

Innamincka has a Hotel/Pub and a Petrol station/Store that runs the caravan park and accomodation side. Stayed two nights and used it as the base for the Dig Tree and roaming along the Cooper which was magical My regret is that the coongie lakes were closed so may have to go back.. Rooms were basic, clean and showers good but... More
