Stayed here a couple of times now and this is without a doubt my favourite hotel in Scheveningen. Warm, cosy, lovely views at breakfast and if you go for one of the sea view rooms. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the decor is just fabulous. I will definitely be staying here again!

From booking to departing homely, clean, friendly and extremely helpful with advice and assistance with heavy suitcases! Food fresh and more than enough selection and quantity. This hotel is like being in your own elegant stately home yet small enough to feel cosy and friendly.Lovely family atmosphere, wonderful family staff always on hand if needed! This place is now like a second home. When they are overbooked, they can always find a place to squeeze me in. Sometimes it's an upstairs "closet," where I have to use a bath and shower on different levels. No matter, they treat me like I'm home and I like their genuine nature. Save yourself from the concrete jungles taking... More

We've just got back after a four day break staying at the Strand Hotel...........and what an ideal location it is.. The rooms are fair sized and although the bathroom is small it was adequate with a good walk in shower. The furniture is typically Dutch but the breakfast room has magnificent views over the sea. From the hotel its just... More

Wasn't sure what to expect, other than most other people found the hotel was all that they wanted at a reasonable price, so we chose the Strandhotel for a long weekend break with friends. - We were not disappointed. - We felt welcome from the point we arrived until the day that we left. - The restaurant serves breakfast only,... Excellent hotel, with a cozy interior and friendly service. The single room was small, but just right with everything I needed for a short business stay. Bed was comfortable with nice linens. En suite bathroom clean and functional. Breakfast room looks right out over the sea. Also a beach view from the small room window (third floor). Easily accessible by... More

My wife and I had a three day stop-over between South Africa and Canada, and selected the Strandhotel after looking at the reviews. We were not disappointed. The hotel is located right at the beach, at the end of a direct tramline connection to the train station. It is an older building, with a cosy atmosphere, and the staff is... More

This is a very nice, comfortable period style hotel. Our room (3) was basic but clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Staff were helpful and friendly, breakfast was good and the dining room had great views out to the sea.

A lovely family run hotel right on the beachfront. We had a nice big room with very comfortable beds and a balcony overlooking the beach. Fairly basic amenities but quite adequate. The bathroom was very small but we managed alright. The included breakfast was very good and the dining room has windows on three sides all with sea views. The... More

Next to the ugly concrete fortress type "Carlton Beach Hotel" and at the north end of the promenande (that reminded us a bit of the "German" Ballermann in Palma de Mallorca or some British tourist centres at the Spanisch Costa Blanca) this small house is a nice alternation. The reception was very friendly and all staff very supportive. The lobby... More
