We spent one night in this hotel. Good thing we hadn't read any reviews or we would have moved on. I don't know if the structure has been renovated or is it just that the other guests have overly exaggerated their negative reviews. The hotel isn't new but our room was very cosy and had a lovely atmosphere with various... More

We got a shock when we arrived. From the outside, it looked like a dilapidated house. Upon entry, we saw dirty carpets, dust everywhere. We were told the hotel was undergoing renovation. Our bedroom was clean and bright, decorated in the romantic style, with butterfly wall stickers and high windows. The bathroom was a complete mess. A bin that was... More

The disappointment began as we rounded the corner and saw the building. It may have looked like its photos once, but its nothing like that now. This hotel is tired and run down and in serious need of an overhaul. Carpets were filthy, paint coming of the walls and ceiling, furniture very old and basic, bathroom was damp. This is... More

This hotel has great potential if only someone were prepared to spend money on renovation. On the plus side, it has a great location, close to the beach, yet away from the noise on the beach front. The people who run it are helpful and the breakfast is generous. However, it is shabby, with worn carpets, burnt out lightbulbs, tatty... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights and it was dreadful. The hotel needs total updating, the rooms are very badly furnished and carpets worn out and stained. We found our bedsheets were ripped and one of them had blood on it. I complained and we were moved to another room at the back of the hotel- only slightly... More

I stayed at Hotel Corel with my sister for a weekend. We wanted to stay in Scheveningen to spend time on the beach, go for some shopping and some partying. We booked Corel because it had a reasonable price and it was located not far from the beach. The location was great. Just a 8 minute walk from Kurhaus and... More

Bed room and stairs badly needed renovation and cleaning with draughty windows. Bossy staff, breakfast acceptable although boiled eggs seemed to be cooked days before. Overpriced for services offered and not worth more than one star although supposedly rated 3 stars, nearest car parking 1km away. Not recommended
