I stayed here for a week with my partner whilst I attended a conference at the World Forum. It was extremely well located being only a 10 minute walk away from the conference center. Its some way out of town but the number 17 tram stops directly outside (literally) so the town center is easily got to. Its also just... More

Charming sums up my recent experience. The proprietor was most courteous and helpful and the room was magnificently large and spotlessly clean in every respect. This is a traditional Dutch townhouse of some size and the decor reflects tradition with mellow colours and tasteful presentation. My en suite was modern and again spotless and in the morning the proprietor provided... More

i would rate the experience with excelsior as the worst Customer experience never had in my life. I'm indeed a frequent traveller both for business and for tourism and it can actually happen that you have to check in late. What happened to me today is to reach the Hague few hours later than planned due to some issues, this... More

Nicely located for visiting the harbour of Scheveningen, you have a really warm and enthusiastic welcome from the owner - with lots of useful information - and a cheery farewell when you leave. Rooms are clean and spacious - the en-suite facilities as you would expect. The rooms at the back are VERY quiet (although in the morning you can... More

This is an excellent, family-run hotel. The owner went to great lengths to make my stay comfortable. When I booked my room online, I entered a few requests into my booking (such as "Ideally, I'd like a quite room on the top floor," etc.) and the owner called me back promptly to apologize and tell me that the hotel did... This is really, truly a hotel. Designated as such by the Netherlands Tourist Board, 3 stars and they have the sign to prove it. However... it isn't really a hotel. It feels much more like a bed and breakfast, or maybe more like you are a guest in Eddie's home. So this review and rating is based on what it... More

A friend of mine who lives round the corner from the Excelsior books me in whenever I visit the Hague. I am always impressed by the warm, friendy welcome from the owner, who works very hard to please his guests. Nor can I fault the clean and comfortable room and bathroom (I can recommend Room 4). There is an ample... More

The hotel is a small establishment right on the tram line and ten minutes from the center of town. The manager /owner is pleasant and helpful - the first night the internet failed and the next day he changed the modem . The room was large and very clean and the breakfast was adequate and enough to start the day.... More

The location is next to a tram 17 stop, so no taxi needed. The room we had was large and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Personal atention by the owner was excelent. It is our stop when we have to be in The Hague.
