Perfect to miss the crowds! We couldnt believe how many people arrived from 10am onwards. The lodge is in a great location & not expensive although the bunk beds arent that comfy! The bfast s great - the dinner ok... a bit buttery for my tastes (was salmon or chicken) so Id probably get food before dinner & just grab... More

This hotel is very basic. We had a few different cabins while staying here. I was in a 4 bed room which was very narrow and only had one sink. There was barely enough space to put all our rucksacks. We had a shared bathroom with the rest of the corridor which was clean, but again an extremely small shower.... More

The hotel itself is very basic (in the Scandinavian way) and clean. Rooms are small but then you don't go there to sit in the room. The restaurant had very good food and I strongly recommend having a dinner there (unlike breakfasts, which are average). The views from the hotel are amazing and it's hypnotizing just to sit outside and... More

Preikestolen fjellstue is located at the base of Preikestolen (The Pulpit Rock). This place is well connected by bus which connects you to the Stavanger ferry. It is located in a beautiful spot by the lake and under the mountain. We stayed here for a night in a double room which had a bunker bed, but the room was a... More

We stayed here in Preikestolen hostel for 2 nights and it was a beautiful experience and definitely value for money when it comes to Norway. We stayed in the Vatne lodge next to the main one and all the facilities were of hotel standard and everything was super clean. The breakfast was also great and we also made our lunch... More

I have been to Norway on 24th Aug 2013 and stayed in the cabins provided by Preikstolen Mountain Lodge facility. It is an excellent place to stay with a real feeling of staying the woods. You are on your own in the forest and every morning you will be getting upto some of the most amazing views. It's at the... More

Preikestolen Fjellstua is right in the parking lot for the popular hike of the same name. I'm staying here the night before going on the hike and it's perfect for that, if you have a car. If not, I'd probably stay in Stavanger and bus here for the day. The building is really unique, the view is awesome. Being high... More

1. it costs $50 per person for the ONLY dinner meal on the menu (no vegetarian options) 2. it costs $40 round-trip to bus into town in order to eat ANYWHERE ELSE. 3. they willingly charge different alcohol prices for different people (and give no explanation when asked) ex. charged me 70 for a beer all hours, charged my brother... Hands down the best location if you want to get an early start on the hike up to the Pulpit Rock. The hostel is beautifully located with spectacular views to a lake and surrounding mountains. However, the hostel is very basic, and the rooms small and spartan with the narrowest twin beds I have ever slept in. Wi-Fi was only... More

The cabin lies in the hills of Ryfylke just near the Refsvatn lake, a beautiful, child-friendly area. There are several marked trails in the area, for example, the path to the Pulpit Rock. The new Preikestolen Mountain Lodge was opend in May 2009. The old Preikestol The Pulpit Rock cabin was built in 1949 just beside the old Vatne mountain farm. There is also good fishing and swimming.
