Because of our flight schedule, we had to return from Pulpit Rock before 11 am. That meant leaving for Pulpit Rock hike at 6 am from this mountain lodge. The hike starts in their parking lot. The lodge has great views all around. The lodge was sold out, but we could get two (bunk) beds in adjacent hostel. Everything from... More

We stayed one night here before walking to Preikestolen and it's a great location and very convenient. The staff at check in were friendly and helpful, and the room (for 5 of us) was OK, small but spotlessly clean. However it's a noisy place, with people outside talking till late and the thin walls mean that you can hear your... More

Stayed here with family on our visit to Norway. I would describe it as a functional hotel / lodge, nothing glamorous about it. The rooms were pretty small - but they managed to put 5 beds in that room including some on an elevated position. Its the closest thing that one can get to Pulpit Rock. The dinner options are... This mountain lodge is in the perfect location for hiking Pulpit Rock. The path starts in their parking lot. The breathtaking views are endless from every point in the lodge (reception, dining room, tv room, outside terrace). The rooms with mountain view are great. (See pic from my room). Everything from the comfy beds/pillow/comforter to the modern bathroom was wonderfully... More

The facility was old and room was really small, but because it's the closest place from hiking place and great transportation connection. I think it's great. It's clean and offers good breakfast and other meals on reservation. I want to go back again!

We had booked a room at Preikestolen Vandrerhjem (a part of Preikestolen Fjellstue) for two people for one night, but we didn’t expect it to be so extremely tiny. Once we opened our suitcases there was no more space on the floor. The room had a bunk bed and it was very hard and uncomfortable. The walls were very thin... More

I stayed here with 3 friends after hearing it was a great starting point for the hike to pulpit rock, which it is! Our room was a room of 4 consisting of two sets of bunk beds with a large table, however there was a room of 3 which was only accessible through our room so not 100% private, however... More

OK for one night if you want to save yourself the drive back to Stavanger after walking. The location is incredibly beautiful just by the lake and once all the day walkers leave you get a real sense of quiet and peace. The lodge however is not incredibly well designed or managed, however we suspect many aspects are just in... More

I liked almost everything. A couple of things: the private rooms for 2 people are not very comfortable: there is not a single shelf on the wall by the bed to put stuff, such as your watch, etc. More importantly, in the shower on the 1st floor, there is no shelf to put your clothes while you shower. In the... More

Nice location, because you can start your hike right from there. Plenty of space for parking, however a lot of cars there as well. It is advisable to make a reservation, but you pay for it when you ale ready there. Very cheap, about $25 a night per person. Breakfast, very good for the price, is included. They have a... More
