This is the only hotel in Egersund, but don't let that put you off. The old rooms are soon in need of upgrading, but there is also a new wing with much better rooms. Location is next to the waterfront and nice pedestrianised streets in the charming downtown. The staff are friendly and breakfast is very good.

We just stopped over at this town. It felt dead, no people on the streets. So we didn't expect much. But the hotel was really nice and charming. The decor was lovely, light and bright, all was spotless clean, and the staff was friendly with humor. It felt very cosy and comfortable. The breakfast contained all it needed. I definitely... More

We came across this as the only possibility in the area on our way from Preikestolen to the Eigeroy lighthouse. Nice place where to stay near the center. Comfortable bed, very nice restaurant and good variety of what to choose for breakfast.

This is a very old hotel, but has been refurbished and they have also built new rooms in a new building close to the old one. I had a room in the new part of the hotel and it was very ok. Clean and with good beds. The breakfast could have been better. I don't need much food in the... More

This is not as Grand as the name implies. An average hotel with parts of definitively in need for renovation. Breakfast and dinner is also average, but the fish soup is good. The personnel is very helpful and friendly though. But since hotels are scarce in this region, you are stuck with this alternative...

Nice room, clean and comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful, but they were understaffed the night I stayed at the hotel. This resulted in some waiting during the dinner, but it didn't matter that much. Food was good, and I think it is a good sign that the restaurant is full on a Monday evening. Breakfast was also nice. I... More

The staff was freindly and helpfull with all the issues we had and was able to give us the room for 3... More

Stayed here for a week-end in January and am absolutely 100 % satisfied with every aspect of my stay. I got one of the brand new rooms and was amazed about the size of the bathroom. The biggest bathroom I have ever had in any Norwegian hotel. I loved the special tiles with patterns from the old Egersund industrial history.... More

Ok, so to point out the obvious - you're staying in Egersund. The pickings are slim, and given the probable oligopoly on decent business accommodation that exists, the hotel isn't so bad in the greater scheme of things. Great location in the middle of the quaint little town, and nice downstairs lobby/lounge/restaurant area. Staff are friendly and helpful. The room... More
