Two days in Karasjok. I was received by a nice and service minded hotel staff. Dinner at night: First course: Two kinds of smoked reindeer heart, then: reindeer filet. Ah...! A good nights sleep - very quiet place. Interesting surroundings: The Saami parliament, museum, old church, tourist centre, theater.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice rooms, good breakfast. And above all: his hotel is in the middle of Norwegian Lapland, and the hotel has gor specially designed curtains, carpets, cups and plates.Even the menu in Storgammen sami restaurant ( where the hotel guests have dinner in summer) have bits of reindeer fur on the outside.

We stayed at the hotel when passing by Karasjok. We didn`t book in advance and got a good price. There weren`t many guests but the hotel was being cleaned as the opening of the Sami Parliament by the King and the Crown Prince was scheduled for the coming days. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the... More

I was at Rica Karasjok June 3-5. th. The hotel had many guests, and I was told that there is only superior-rooms left, with superior-prices. But I just got a regular room - even on the lower floor (basement-feeling). Still I had to pay 1810 NOK for the first night, and 1610 NOK for the second night - and I... More

There were not a lot of guests, but the hotel manager andmade us feel wellcome. The hotel has clean and comfortable rooms with sami design elements, a nice common room with a large fireplace and a... We spend just one night here passing through Karasjok but this Hotel is very nice. In the middle of Sami park. With a Sami restaurant with a fantastic and very special atmosphere. It's under a sort of tend; you go a bit down in the ground and looks like a cave. You eat close to the fire in a circle... More

This is a city hotel in a rural setting. If you are after a hotel that is predictable in an area that is less than predictable, this might be for you. We had no problems although some people we were traveling with said they had no hot water. The staff are friendly and it is convenient to shopping and attractions.... More

Stayed one night during recent 3800 km motorcycle tour of Norway. The night we arrived there was a wedding reception in full swing with 300 plus people in Lappland costume. Curtains deal well with the fact that it doesnt get dark. Service is friendly and competent. Rooms a little run down but quaint, clean and comfortable. Food is very good.... More

Hotel - Very close to Sami parliament and to the sami centre which is next door. Take some fly spray as the area is prone to very hungry mosquitos in summer. Standard 3* Hotel - no fridge in room - OK for a short stay. (and you can see all there is to see in 1 day). Restaurant - Very... More
