My husband and I stayed at the Woolpack country Inn late June. It had recently changed management and the new landlady Tina welcomed us on our arrival and made us feel like we where staying at home. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff went out of their way to make our stay an enjoyable one. We brought our... More

My wife and I stayed on 12/6/15 for 1 night booked as a present. We had a courtesy call in the morning as inn had changed hands, and restaurant would not be available. When we arrived - we were only guests, the staff could not do enough for us, the room was spotless. And they directed us to another location... More

Comfy bed, lots of hot water and good central heating. That’s about it, I’m afraid. In an area that has stunning countryside and lots to explore this (thankfully dog-friendly) pub/inn has seen better days. I have visited a few times over recent years and this time was a bit of a disappointment; it would appear that it has been under... More

I was passing the Woolpack country inn on Thursday and as i used to go quite regular so i thought i would pop in for a soft drink (as i was driving) The lady behind the bar was very friendly and welcoming. There was a great atmosphere with a few of the locals in all laughing and chatting. I asked... More

Firstly we rang the inn to ask for directions and it seemed thy did not know where they lived as they told us to head for theM1 which took us an extra hour to get there!! When we did eventually arrive we were given a glass of Prosecco to which when we asked to have it with our evening meal... More

We booked 5 nights bed and breakfast for some friends visiting from Germany. We visited the hotel first to check the rooms were ok and as they were paid half as deposit. I was told at the time that the remainder was to be paid at checkout. When we arrived with our German friends, at 7.30pm there was no welcome... More

We booked to stay in the hotel in the 22nd may 2015 for relaxation via hotels.com. We were looking forward to our stay, HOWEVER, the night before we were due to arrive we got an email stating they could not honour our booking, but to get a refund WE needed to ring hotel.com. We tried to contact the woolpack inn... More

Stayed here on a two night b+b deal with 3 course dinner included on first night and a glass of Prosecco. We were given the wine at check-in, about 2.15 pm, which i found slightly bizarre as you needed transport to go anywhere and i would have thought it would be better with the evening meal? We were not told... More

We have just arrived back from a two night break at the Woolpack Inn Dewsbury. The landlady was very welcoming and an attentive host, nothing was too much trouble for her. She served behind the bar and brought the meals to the table. The food was delicious, well presented and a good selection. The rooms where very clean, spacious and... More
