This was our third visit and the evening of our 25 wedding anniversary. This place is quite magical, only 5 bedrooms but each individual. The colours and light thrown inside are warm and inviting with high ceilings. There is a beautiful art deco salon and breakfast room or outside terrace overlooking fine grounds and a lovely pool. You arrive driving... More

We loved our stay here! The Chateau is beautiful both outside and in, with lovely high ceilings and a quirky interior. We stayed in the Louis XV room which is the smallest but was lovely with a very comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent with lovely little touches and pretty crockery. As it was warm enough it was served on the... More

Just had the one night there yesterday. Couldn't be more welcoming. Stunning place and location. Couldn't resist a dip in the pool. Stayed in Jaune room, huge with lovely bath and garden view. Breakfast on terrace. Super friendly. We will be back.

Chateau des Poccards is pretty, it's quirky, wonderfully flamboyant and eccentric. When we arrived we were greeted by the owner friends who were fine but not particularly welcoming, we were pretty unsure if we were going to stay in the beginning, they informed us that the owner Erik was due to return later. Erik returned, came over and introduced himself,... More

I must pay homage to the Chateau des Poccards in Hurigny, just outside Macon. We chose to stay there because it was close to our friends and it looked nice. It was and it was! The owners (a Belgian couple Erik and Erika Bruyneel) bought the place at the end of 2010. It is a large house with gorgeous grounds... More

We liked The absolutely stunning and perfect art deco environment in a Tuscan-style architecture The peaceful location, the nice garden and overall decor The sophisticated owner who really represents the style of the location The rooms, all huge suites decorated in different themes The breakfast room and the equally stylish breakfast We did not like Nothing at all!

My husband and I just returned from a 2 week stay in this region of France. The Chateau des Poccards was certainly a highlight of our stay. Catherine and Ivan, the owners of the chateau, have totally restored this home into a elegant and comfortable place to stay. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms modern and spotlessly clean. They provide... More
