Beautiful setting on the plaza. Our room overlooked the central atrium which is now a glass covered breakfast space. It was very quiet, clean and efficient. There was no air conditioning and if our room overlooked the plaza I would not vouch for the tranquility . We would return but would be careful about room placement.

this hotel was booked by camino ways as part of our bicycle tour of the camino. as hotels go I would rate it three star. great location right in front of a plaza, five minutes walk to astorga cathedral and gaudi's bishop's palace. even though the plaza can be very busy, you can still rest well even if your room... We were walking the Camino and met a Brazilian couple at thr ridiculous pedestrian railway bridge and walked into town with them. They were staying here so we did too. The hotel is easy to find, is clean and comfortable and a superb location on the square. We ate at the restaurant and the pilgrim menu was decent.

I stayed here for two nights of clean, quiet comfort as I recovered from a cold while walking the Camino. Excellent bed, fluffy towels, hot bath, TV in English!. The staff helped me find the farmacia, the outdoor shop, and booked ahead for me in the next two towns on the Camino. The breakfast was excellent and the room fridge... More

Beautiful hotel that should be a 4* not a 3*. Front desk staff were excellent, friendly and fluent in English. Complimentary (!) minibar in room with cold water and soft drinks. Double windows in the room to cut down on noise from the plaza. Breakfast buffet was ample and delicious. We had a very refreshing and relaxing stay while walking... More

Room 103 Best view ever! Overlooks Plaza Mayor and clock tower with bronze couple striking bell on the hour. Superior staff, large room, great air conditioning, clean, two twin beds pushed together with firm mattress and nice pillows. There is a hallway from room door into bedroom with second door so room is quiet from within hotel and double doors... More

I stopped here on the off chance whilst walking the Camino. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel comfortable with free WiFi and drinks in the mini bar. The breakfast was adequate. I would stay here again.

Easy to find, if the public market isn't blocking your view! Arrived with the square jammed full .. So missed the hotel! Transforms quickly into a great square at night to sit back and enjoy. So great location. The bell tower chirps all night, so can't leave a window open if you are a light sleeper. We had a room... More

This hotel has a fantastic location and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly but that's about where the pros end. As a pilgrim on the camino, I needed a break from the albergues and decided to stay here as the price was right. The hotel is located right in the main square and there's lots of buzz to watch.... The Astur is centrally located in the old part of town right on the main plaza. The reception desk was very helpful and we when checked in the receptionist spoke very good English. We were cycling through Spain and our bikes were accommodated in the garage free of charge. The double room we had was quite large and over looked... More
