First impressions, hard to change: Slow reception - two people, but apparently only one dealing with check in. Passport taken, nothing said and disappeared, then the other one actually checked me in. She turned out to be very efficient and helpful. Nice room, although bathroom a little cramped! No basic info in room about meal times; did eventually find wifi... More

You couldn't ask for a hotel in a better position in the lovely town of Astorga. Right next to the palace and a short walk to the town square (where there is a lovely clock). We had a lovely room. It was large and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep in this room with a proper black our shutter.... More

We arrived without a reservation and without knowing what we'll find. The staff was very considerate, they helped us very quickly and gave us two rooms. The whole family (4) was very happy. The rooms were a very good size, the bathrooms huge. The sizes of these rooms and baths are not normal in Spain. The restaurant was OK, not... More

It was great walking into the hotel straight off Camino. Reception staff a little surly because we could not speak Spanish. Room was small, but clean. Nice view of garden. Big bathroom with great shower and loads of amenities. Beautiful pillows, big bed and loads of channels on TV! Breakfast vast. Lots of selection. Overall a good hotel located right... More

I have stayed here twice, 12 months apart. This time in a superior room. The superior room is large but mine didn't have a balcony like many of the standard rooms do. The bathroom was as big as many hotel rooms in total. It was very well stocked. Wifi was simple and worked well. My only negative comment is that... More

This hotel had nice rooms and a good situation with a great restaurant connected. Nice courtyard Service was moderate to good. Mostly had communication issues but all was covered at the end of the day. Price was right. This is a busy town with the mission Trekkers

When you do the Camino, from time to time you just need to treat yourself. And so I wanted to do choosing this hotel. The room was almost perfect, the king size bed and the linen were just amazing. But... I got bitten by the BED BUGS. As it happened to me for the first time in my life, I... More

When I arrived, soaked by the rain and sweat that you can't avoid going the Camino de Santiago, a blond woman in her 50s (I suppose) was on duty. She attended an elder lady and then, when that lady was gone, turned to a co-worker of hers to discuss the latest football news. First I waited because I expected, she... More

The interesting thing about the hotel is that you hardly see it from the street. The second impression we got was a very friendly and helpful lady at the reception. We not only had our check-in done in no time, no, we also got a very clear cut and interesting introduction to all the monuments and interesting spots of the... More

This hotel is clean and modern. It is a very pretty hotel. However, that is all it has to offer. It promises much more than what it gives! We stayed at this hotel during our trip through the north of Spain. We had to stop in Astorga for a wedding and we booked this hotel which seemed higher quality than... More
