Our one night stay in Astorga was meant purely to break up the journey from Logrono in Rioja to Santiago de Compostela, so our expectations were not high. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise, full of antiques and lovely furniture. Our room was stunning and the garden area with honesty bar was beautiful. We enjoyed drinks relaxing in the... More

This hotel had me enchanted from the moment I walked past the stone entrance. My room was on the third floor so hoisting the luggage to this floor without an elevator was challenging. However, I loved the cozy attic room--it was comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast consisted of standard European fare--breads, hams, hard boiled eggs, coffee and tea. The... More

I've spent 2 nights in Astorga. The second one was at Casa de Tepa. It is really more of a museum than a hotel. For my part, I do not recommend since there is at least one hotel near by that is very luxurious and cosy, and you know what, you pay a lot less for what you came for,... More

Our room was spacious, clean, and quiet. However, I thought that 10 euro was way too much for the simple breakfast. Also, 10 euro for parking was also too much since we saw cars parked in front of the hotel for no charge.

This is an absolutely lovely place to stay even though it costs a little more than most private rooms along the Camino route. Rooms are decorated to honor a particular artist. Lovely garden area. Very helpful staff. Located very close to Cathedral. Can't go wrong here.

This hotel was very different... The decor was mediaeval looking & the staff were very nice & friendly. We checked in & went for a lovely walk around the town. It was a perfect location, away from the Plaza Espanol which is a lively area. Breakfast was a buffet style with a lot of choices of breads, fruit, cereal etc... More

This was a great surprise. The owner was very helpful and offered us parking. Lovely room and bath. Breakfast was eggs to order and everything else you might want on the buffet. Only negative is it is hard to find. It is on about 1 1/2 blocks from the Gaudi Church. Next time I would find the church and ask... More

Spent the first night of our Camino de Santiago tour with Walks in Spain at the Casa de Tepa. This was an organized Camino de Santiago tour so our accommodations were chosen beforehand by Walks in Spain. Although we had an idea of what to expect, this hotel certainly surpassed our expectations and was a great way to start the... More

Casa de Tepa was a charming hotel, but we had a very difficult time finding it by car using our GPS. The front entrance was very rustic, and at first I had doubts about the quality of the hotel. Our room was fantastic, very large with beautiful antique furniture. The location was very close to the Gaudi's Bishop's Palace and... More

This is a beautiful place, slap bang in the middle of town with its own safe parking, lovely gardens and highly civilised public areas. Our bedroom's furnishings and facilities reflected all this and were comfortable, if a little old fashioned, tho' the bathroom was really ace. There is an 'honesty bar' in the gardens whose prices left us in need... More
