We stayed for five nights and had a wonderful stay. It's like a little oasis after sight-seeing all day. Situated not far from Bayeaux, it is easy to find. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was also large with double sinks and a great shower. Everything was clean. Good wifi connection was also a great... More

We had a very comfortable stay in this beautiful old French house. We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children in order to visit the D-day sites and museums and this proved to be a very good, central location. We had a huge room with the children in an adjoining large twin room with a lovely spacious bathroom. The... More

A warm welcome, nice room, great breakfast with home made jams, yoghurt, cakes, bread, brioche etc.. We enjoyed it a lot, we stayed for 3 nights and every morning there was a new surprise for breakfast :) we'd recommend it to everyone!

Le Pigeonnier was such a great respite from a hectic day of travel. My daughters, mom and I were greeted warmly by Catherine (even though we were terribly late after driving up from Tours and spending time in Mont St. Michel). The suite was charming with one large room with a queen bed, sitting space, and large wardrobe, and one... More

Although not our first trip to Normandy, this was our first time at Le Pigeonnier. Easy to find in an attractive and quiet village, Le Pigeonnier is a beautiful house, stylishly furnished and decorated. The rooms are large, comfortable and well-appointed and the breakfasts are generous, delicious and with a wide choice of dishes. Best of all was the warm... More

Since most of the B&Bs near the beaches were booked when I made reservations, I found this via Trip Advisor. Upon arrival, I discovered I had requested incorrect dates, but Catherine got the room ready in no time. The turquoise room was very spacious, and well kept - especially for the price. Breakfast was nice, with fresh breads, crepes, rice... More

I stayed there together with my fiance for 4 nights in late October. We wanted to see Bayeux and D-day Beaches and this place seemed to be conveniently located. We opted for a cottage rather than a B&B part of this establishment. The cottage as such was decent with a living room with a kitchen annex, a bedroom and a... More

Catherine and her husband have a very charming, VERY roomy bed & breakfast located just a few miles south of Bayeaux. Her rooms have two chambers - very nice when travelling with family (I travelled with my mother). The beds are queen sized (American), and there is plenty of room for your suitcases and such. On top of this, Catherine... More

Everything about this bed and breakfast is practically perfect! We booked our room on line and it was very easy. Madame Tenret speaks English and answered all our emails promptly. Le Pigeonnier is located on the main street in the sleepy little town of Balleroy, easy to find and only a few miles from Bayeux. It's convenient to the D-day... More

My husband and I stayed for six nights in early June. We were not disappointed. Our room was large, airy, well appointed, with a comfortable bed. It had a small anteroom with a single bed, which we did not need, so I used it as a dressing room. This kept us from cluttering our room with luggage and clothes. The... More
