We stayed at La Barquita for 4 nights and it was wonderful! The family who run it are friendly and couldn't have been more helpful when we had issues with a company in Puerto Lopez. The food was excellent and the setting is beautiful! The security I felt was excellent and put me at ease. Would definately stay there again! more
We stayed in La Barquita after reading relatively good reviews in a guide...The staff was not very friendly, the food served was really very bad and expensive, probably the worst place i have eaten in Manabi where the food is usually great and unexpensive.... the room was very small and for the price it did not even have any shampoo for the guests...small details but really I was expecting a higher level goven the price. Also I understand the security issues in Manabi but the thing looks like a prison.... more
