We arrived by boat at the Puilladobhran Anchorage and walked over the hill to Tigh an Truish, meaning to have just a couple of pints. We ended up staying the whole evening as the atmosphere and the beer were great. Somebody brought out a guitar and we had a right sing-song; the owners were great company and they couldn't have... Only a 15 minute walk from the idyllic anchorage at Puilladobhrain is the Tigh an Truish Inn (marked "Inn" on the Clyde Cruising Club Kintyre to Ardnamurchan pilot book) on Seil Island. It's cosy wee pub with gardens back and front (looking "over the Atlantic") and home-grown live music when we were there. When she realised we'd had no dinner... More

Nipped in on Friday 10th April for lunch with my wife and daughter. My daughter had home made lentil soup and a crusty bread roll which she enjoyed. My wife chose the scampi which was not the usual frozen balls..it appeared to be freshly prepared scampi/ langoustines in bread crumbs and again was enjoyable. I had the breaded haddock which... On a recent trip to the West of Scotland we visited Easedale and the Isle of Seil, This involved crossing the grand sounding 'Bridge over the Atlantic' or Clachan Bridge which is a small stone built humped bridge which crosses the 30m or so gap between the mainland and the Isle of Seil. A picturesque photo opportunity for something which... More

Jean behind the bar went the extra mile when we stopped for a pint one afternoon and were so taken with the location that we asked if she could recommend any B and Bs. She recommended the one next door, Innish, and rang Irene for us and booked us in! We had a lovely tea that night at TIgh an... More

We had a lovely lunch here in a beautiful setting overlooking the loch. We were out from Oban that day and had a lovely day on the isle of seil. I had the beef pie and mash, my friend had fish and chips. Good selection of beer and whisky, not so hot on the wine, .

We know this area well but have never stayed in this pub [although eaten there often]. The rooms were really welcoming if unusual and making our own breakfast meant we could really relax. Plenty of food provided and we really enjoyed our stay Thank you

We stopped for lunch and found excellent food and good company.Speckled Hen on draughted was a good welcome good conversation with locals and the One Hundred Day Burger with Aberdeen Angus steak Haggis and Local cheese is recommendable, my wife has seafood paster which was both well presented and enjoyable to eat. My husband and I have been staying on the Isle in self-catering house and decided to eat out. We had been given a list of local restaurants and pubs and decided to eat here. It has a nice atmosphere, staff are lovely and the couple we sat beside were very friendly. We didn't have to wait long on our food... More

Have visited this pub many times, and it is always worth the detour from the main road. Cosy little dog friendly bar; excellent beers; smallish but interesting menu. Fish and chips tasted fresh. Very friendly girl from New Zealand served us.
