The rooms are hazardous, my wife had an electric shock! They are also very very dirty with stained sheets and towels! Carpets are thread bare! No hot water and the more expensive VIP rooms are only VIP because they have dented old kettles and extra pillows!!! The food is like pig slop and the staff are strange and rude!! The... More

We stayed here again last Sunday evening on our way back to Bangkok, having last stayed there two years ago. The place is not changed much - apart from a horrid pink external coat of paint and an extra floor of "Luxury" rooms added (to which you have to walk up stairs to the last floor (8th) as the elevator... This is by far the worst hotel in Buriram! I read the reviews and thought they were a little harsh cause I thought surely it can't be that bad. Well, it is...Beside all the prostitutes roaming around the lobby and outside, the rooms are old, smelly, and way overpriced. I got moved to three different rooms and they all were... More

From afar the Thepnakorn looks imposing and modern. Once inside it is clear that it is neither. A cavernous lobby manned by uncaring reception staff leads to unmodernised and stark rooms. Everything works but nothing is new or stylish. There must be better. The only thing that is reasonable is the breakfast. This is a hotel to ignore.

There is little accommodation to choose from in Buriram so perhaps this is the best there is and that is awful! Stayed for 1 week. Food was low end. Service don't speak any English. Room had leaks and looked like it was never updated in 30 years. Reported a rat walking across my bed at 3:00 in the morning and... More

Many Thais disapprove of Foreigner-Thai relationships, routinely viewing the Thai female as a gold-digger or worse, regardless of the facts. That is understood by most such couples, usually. However, hotel staff are supposed to be professionals, and to leave their own prejudices at home. My Thai wife and her daughter went to the hotel's main restaurant for an afternoon snack.... More

I stayed here for two nights after visiting some Temples in the area and was dissapointed at the quality of the rooms and the overall condition of the hotel. The hotel was recommended to me by a friend who stayed there in 2008 and I really do believe it was still the same wall paper paint and fittings from that... More

When we booked rooms in hotels Thepnakorn last month, we were told that it was fully booked except for VIP rooms, at a price of 1,500 baht for the night. The same has curiously enough happened to us before. And judged by the almost empty restaurant at breakfast, I was quite unsure whether the allegation was in accordance with reality.... More

After reading the reviews on this hotel i was a little dubious about booking it but as myself and my partner needed to visit her family just north of Buriram in the ban dan area I took the plunge and booked four nights in the thepnakorn Hotel. The room i stayed in on the fourth floor was of a decent... More
