booked to stay as we were attending a family event. On arrival the young lady at the bar was pleasant but just pointed us in the direction of our room which was in complete darkness, not even a side light left on.The pile of laundry at the top of the stairs looked very unprofessional surely there is a cupboard somewhere... My wife and I were in Todmorden for a function, and we were recommended to stay at the Queen. Our room was well equipped and comfortable, and spotlessly clean, though the decor was a little careworn. (I'd guess that the rooms had a serious makeover in the mid 2000s and were probably due for redecoration.) We had a very comfortable... More

We stayed in the Queen's while on a family visit. The location is great, easy to get to and even though so close to the station not noisy at all. The staff was very welcoming and pleasant. The only complaint we have was that we found lots of hair in the bathroom around the sink (as if someone had shaved)... More

We are a middle aged, married couple who have visited Todmorden (or Tod as it usually known locally) on several occasions because of family connections. The Queen Hotel is basically a large public house with accommodation which we have visited before for drinks only but had not stayed as hotel guests until our first booking in early December 2013. We... More

Stayed here for weekend while visiting family, Staff friendly and helpful, Breakfast variable e. g. 1 morning sausage on plate, next day none although well cooked and served quickly. The meal deal on Saturday night was excellent and great value. Bar is well stocked and has a nice selection of cask ales. Rooms are clean and beds comfy. Only gripe... More

We stopped by the queen, and simply were stunned what we saw. It was like a drop in centre for down and outs, drunks and weirdos. We had booked to eat but thankfully we did not, The staff looked dirty and uninterested. The manager was camp as Christmas and looked like he was going to a gig never mind running... More

We stayed for one night for a friends birthday, we were greeted by a friendly very helpful young lady on the reception bar area. She was very polite professional and helpfull. The room was very clean warm and a nice comfy bed. We went to book a taxi and another young lady did that for us when she spotted us... More

Very nice room, extremely comfortable bed, very quiet, so good nights sleep. Show water pressure was a bit on the weak side. As others have mentioned, the breakfast does leave a little to be desired. Nasty sausage and who serves tinned tomatoes with breakfast these days, particularly when the toast is served on the same plate, so it is drowned... More

Only stayed 1 night. Sat 26th October. Room quite small but spotlessly clean. Nice quite room around the back of the Hotel. Exceptionally quite for a Saturday night, but that could have been something to do with the weather!! Breakfast was very nice and plenty full, yes the sausage was a cheap - toast was great! Would stay there again... More
