There's lots of room inside and out, but outdoors is prettier. Great service no matter what corner of the lawn you sit in. I have never tried the spa but I bought a wonderful moisturizing cream there. Rooms are dim; need more light. Very clean.

I always use the swimming pool here as a non resident, great atmosphere adequate bar food and drinks on hand. Staff very obliging, but the bar till does not often have change for your notes, so you have to wait for it

I love this hotel. The only thing lacking is their air conditioning, it is adaquate, but won't keep you in the cool that well. The staff is amazing, helpful and friendly. The food is the best in any hotel. I am from the US and really enjoy their menu choices. They filter their water and have the proper equipment to... More

Older hotel building but the rooms are well updated and there is a new pool and spa area that are very nice with steam and sauna. Surprisingly the food and service were great, as well. The mattress was among the best I have slept on in almost 2 months in Uganda. The Mt. Elgon National Park HQ is practically across... More

Old and classic hotel, that age has only had an effect of perfecting service delivery. Probably the most guaranteed and consistent service at the foot of the imposing Mount Elgon. The rooms have very cosy rooms and a wonderful bed. The wardrobes emit an old rusty smell, which shouldn't be a cause of great concern. The food is diverse and... More

Go somewhere cheaper to get better value, but in Mbale there are few options. I stayed with my wife and 1 year old daughter for 10 nights while visiting family nearby. Room amenities were basic, small fridge, small kettle, good wardrobe space. No safe, but we left cash and valuables everywhere and never had a problem trusting the housekeeping staff... More

For Mbale, this is probably luxury but it's rather tired and faded. Food is good, but be prepared for a long wait; staff are friendly enough. There is a small charge for use of the pool if your are not a resident, and it is clean and well maintained. Usual array of drinks and alcoholic beverages - nothing special. Not... More

This hotel has clean rooms, friendly staff and a lovely garden setting looking towards the mountains. It is an old hotel that has been renovated so the rooms are quite large. The modern dining room that serves great meals and excellent buffet breakfast overlooking the garden. They have banquet nights but we didn't try that. The only down side was... More

Very dated hotel with a strange odour in the rooms. The showers were not very appealing could be improved as drainage was poor. The breakfast had excellent fruits. Staff are generally friendly. Would recommend getting a cheaper place in Mbale as the cost doesn't commensurate with what you get.

Did not stay at this hotel but came here for dinner. a little off the beaten path (not off the main road) so a little hard to get public transportation FROM the hotel. Great food and drink selection! would recommend!
