We booked here to celebrate my partners birthday and I had picked the place carefully. We like small, charming, comfortable places with a personal touch - and The Moulin de Camandoule is definitely one of those. The room was on the small side, but very nice with a lovely private terrace. The staff was very forthcoming and made us feel... More

Since 1999 when we moved to Fayence we have enjoyed this restaurant's steady progress from being an above average restaurant to now one of the best value-for-money restaurants in the east Var. On 26 April we had an excellent lunch. Their menu of the day included either a bouillabaisse or a piece of pan seared duck breast. Both dishes were... More

This establishment is an old converted olive mill and is primarily a restaurant, but also is a hotel. It is an, 'oldie worldie,' property and jewel in the Feyence wine region near Nice and Cannes on the south coast of France. We have enjoyed two excusite nights of fine dining and two days of sight seeing. Our first day visiting... More

Most visitors, and I’m sure many residents of the area, will find the setting of this hotel/restaurant drop-dead gorgeous, located as it is next to a Roman aqueduct below a typically romantic Provencal village What’s more, the establishment is ensconced in a once busy olive oil mill set in surrounding gardens and countryside. Though I have never stayed in the... More

We dined here as a family of four on Easter Sunday. One set menu for Easter Day. Five very inventive yet traditional courses in the cosy atmosphere of an imaginatively restored water mill. Good children's menu. Great attentive yet unobtrusive service. Bill for a great gastronomic experience for two adults and two children (aged 13 and 10 yrs) was 225... More

Dined here on Friday 18th January at lunch. Service and food was excellent and very keenly priced. 20 Euros for 3 course lunch including a glass of house wine and coffee. The cosy dining room and the roaring fire in the bar area make you want to snuggle in to one of the easy chairs and enjoy a few liquers.... More

However lovely the Moulin de la Camandoule is in summer, I have to admit loving it in winter. I spent 11 nights while working at the antiques fair in the village of Fayence, which from my window and the grounds I could see shining at night in that Provençal Christmas way. The room was as cosy as last time (excellent... More

We have stayed in this hotel for many years. It is set on the outskirts of the charming small town of Fayence in Var in extensive grounds with a large swimming pool in a cherry orchard. The builing, once a water mill, is full of character. Cuisine is very good and especially enjoyable when dining on the terrace, which is... More

A real gem near Fayence. The place is a renovation of an old olive oil press factory, designed in perfect care to give you a country-side and a posh feeling at the same time. The 100 euro room (including breakfast) was at basic level, but the extra large bathtub made the difference.  One of the best things about this place... More

Just the way it should be. Pros + Price, not to expensive considering what you get. + Great restaurant! Food was excellent. Price was good as well. + Cozy rooms + Easy to find with car Cons - You need to book it well in advance since the places is fully booked during high season. But i guess that's a... More
