This old mill is full of charm, small, privately owned and with a surprisingly good restaurant. The largest room is 'Infer' next to reception with AC. It is a humble hotel, no tea or coffee in room, one bottle of water for four nights sort of thing, but it is rescued by a superb menu and chef. The wine list... More

My Wife and I stayed four nights at La Camandoule as part of a touring holiday. It is a lovely old building in an idyllic setting by the river with fabulous views of the town on the hill about half a mile away. Our room was Roustide which (in my opinion) is the best room because it has a lovely private terrace... We had a wonderful meal at Moulin de la Camandoule in April - fantastic food, went for the mid price menu three courses. Would recommend highly, great staff, very charming. The setting is delightful, we ate in the restaurant (terrace looks great but weather a little overcast on the day we were there) which had a very nice atmosphere, busy... More

This place is an absolute dream - the location is quiet and picturesque, and the staff are always extremely professional, friendly and will go the extra mile to make your visit extra special. I have never been disappointed, the food is always beautifully prepared and presented and there is a wide range of wines available, including some great locals. I... More

A four night stay for a wedding in Fayence. Stand outs for me were the friendly and attentive service of staff, and the amazing food. Breakfasts are simple but delicious with loads of fresh fruit, continental breakfast with delicious yogurts and preserves. - served on the quiet sun drenched terrace. Lunch in the main restaurant was wondeful - elegant yet... More

We have visited the restaurant at Moulin de la Camandoule five times in the past 18 months and it certainly enjoys one of the best locations in the area. Because it is not cheap, one expects the highest standards, and usually it doesn't disappoint. However, they can clearly have an off day, and that us disappointing for what should be... More

We booked online the night before our visit. The Tineon room down the hall from the small reception area was charming and had a good, firm large bed. Huge bathroom with all the amenities (bathrobes were a nice touch) and a window that opened. The young receptionist was very friendly and, upon our arrival on bicycles, showed us the property... During a normal work week you can have a lunch menu of a small entré, selection of 2-3 main dishes and selection of 2 different desserts and a glass of wine for 21 EUR/person. On a beautiful day you can sit on the lovely, big shaded terrace with views of Fayence and the surrounding garden. The service is quick and... More

Not recently, but I have been going to the Moulin, man and boy. Never had a bad experience only excellent. Gorgeous property, great food, nice pool for everyone including my little terrors! If you are in Provence and get the chance, do go. You should not be disappointed!
