This is the 4th time I have stayed at Les Volets Bleus. Again I was cycling the canals with my son and LVB is one of my favourite stops. The relaxed atmosphere and the spacious, cool rooms are great and its location overlooking the canal is perfect. Even a day of torrential rain didn't spoil our visit as the huge... More

Have had two excellent stays here. The place is well situated for bike touring around the local wine regions as well as being handy for the Canal du Midi. The rooms are big and well-appointed (though the we found the floor in the wet room slippery). Run by an English couple and Tinka the dog :)

In some ways I feel rather reluctant to share this truly amazing Chambre d'hotes with the world and his dog, however, the family who own and run Les Volets Bleu, have created an amazing chambre d'hotes, and work very hard to ensure that their guests enjoy their stay. When we arrived, we were given a warm welcome by our hosts,... More

we were struck by the architecture whilst passing through on the Midi and with next year in mind, asked for and received a guided tour by the charming owners. so please note we did not stay but saw enormous rooms, none overlooked set within this handsome mansion complete with massive hall and landing and a gracious staircase. it comes highly... We stayed at this lovely quiet B&B for one night in July 2014 prior to us picking up our canal boat on the Canal Du Midi. We got the last available room. The owners mentioned that we had one of their more basic rooms - however we found it clean, comfortable and quiet. It was good value for money and... More

My daughter and I spent a week at Les Volets Blue which I booked last minute when the place I had planned to stay didn't work out for us. This B&B saved the day, as it is absolutely lovely in a quiet, peaceful village on one of the canals. We stayed in one of the traditional rooms which was spacious... More

We received a warm welcome, a safe place to park (in the HUGE garage under the house), were quickly shown the facilities, taken to our room & offered a hot drink, which we gratefully accepted (the big pot of tea was very welcome). Our room was very big, and the bathroom was enormous - they were both rather tired but... More

We came across this wonderful bed and breakfast at the end of a tiring trip. It was signposted just outside Ortigueria. It was a haven of quiet surrounded by wooded hills. The house is a very tasteful renovation of a school with lots of restored stone work. The rooms and sunroom/dining room are very modern and really high standard. We... More

There are very few (in fact this may be the only one) places that I hav stayed in more than once. With so many places to go this litte gem has dragged me back and I will surely go there again. The rooms are huge in this big old french style house. You can almost touch the canal and there... More

Friendly & helpful hosts add to the charm of this house. We felt very spoilt to be able to share a meal here, especially on the day of our arrival, as it was so interesting to see how the hosts easily make all the guests feel welcome & all shared part of the meal with us. They serve a 5... More
