Midway through a two-week driving trip of Italy, we treated ourselves to one stay-put day in Tuscany at the Hotel Osteria Dell'Orcia and it was one of the best trip decisions we made. We arrived late morning to find the sun shining on the Hotel's lovely grounds and were immediately drawn to the outdoor dining gazebo with its view over... More

Silvano and Eliana run this wonderful little place tucked underneath Bagno Vignoni. Here are three reasons to stay there. They are wonderful hosts. The little hotel is brilliantly comfortable. The food - cooked by Eliana - is out of this world. The air is soft here. The dog Ugo is incredibly sweet. And there is a mad donkey. Also a... More

I cannot think of a better location in Southern Tuscany. Our hosts were so attentive and the views out of this world. Dinner was so delicious and the service first rate. Each morning we had a deliciously generous breakfast on the patio looking over the Italian countryside. We were treated royally from the minute we arrived. This will be our... More

Stayed 4 nights in September, 2014. The hotel is located in a relaxing country location. Nearby is the small town of Bagno Vignon. The hotel provides a great complimentary breakfast and dinner is available, too. We ate dinner at the hotel twice and in Bagno Vignon twice and enjoyed all the meals. The staff at the hotel is very helpful... More

Stayed for 3 nights in early Sept 2014. The hotel is in a lovely setting with just a short walk across a foot bridge crossing the river to nearby Bagno Vignoni which has lovely thermal baths and spas. Silvano was an excellent host with a good sense of humour and able to advise on almost anything. Excellent facilities including room,... More

We spent 5 nights at this wonderful inn and loved every minute. Silvano and Fernando were extremely accommodating. They were quick to engage and always willing to help with whatever we needed to enhance our stay. We ate at the restaurant 3 of the nights and the food was excellent. Silvano suggested a lovely restaurant in Montepulciano for our anniversary... More

Silvio and Ferdinando were fabulous. We arrived on a hot June day, after a long drive. It was like a breath of fresh air as we sat down to check in. Imagine my surprise when I learned that we have a mutual friend in Northern Italy. He even had been to my family's village (Falcade). We spent 4 nights here... More

Stayed in July 2014 as a stop on our honeymoon, had a fabulous time. This hotel had all the charm and character you would expect from a dream Tuscan retreat. The rooms were basic but very comfortable and full of character. The building itself was welcoming and spacious, with grounds overlooking pretty countryside, though not the best we'd experienced in... More

We had a lovely 5-day stay in this beautiful countryside hotel. The location is perfect for exploring the nearby small villages of the Val D'Orcia, such as Montalcino, Pienza and Montepulciano, as well as its many wine farms. The hotel has an excellent restaurant in which we ended up dining every night - everything is prepared fresh by their chefs,... More

We had a great time here. The location is exceptional, within motoring distance of many famous tuscan towns. The staff at the hotel were friendly and professional. The food was excellent and we loved the fact that we could walk to the extremely picturesque village of Bagno Vignoni have dinner or a drink there and were encouraged to do so.... More
