I was lucky enough to stay this summer for about a week at hte lovely Albergo di Murlo. The hotle is fairly close to the city of Siena but far enough away that you feel completely removed from the bustle of the city. It's located in the village of Vescovado di Murlo, which is so small and beautiful while still... More

As others have noted, the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were in the annex across the street from the main hotel. The rooms are small but adequate and kept spotlessly clean. Many of the rooms have a view across the valley. We originally were assigned to one of those rooms but there was a leak in the bathroom... More

We stayed a week at the Albergo di Murlo in the quaint village of Vescavado di Murlo, just outside of Siena, and we warmly recommend the hotel as a starting point for exploring the south of Tuscany. Our large and airy room looked out past the church tower to the beautiful Tuscan hills. The dining room serves delicious local specialities... More

Set in the little village of Murlo in the rolling hillsides of Tuscany we found our paradise. A friendly staff who speak really good english are eagerly awaiting to take care of you. We spent three nights in this little hotel, well off the beaten track. I don't know how they stay in business as their were very few guests during... More

The Albergo di Murlo is by far one of the friendliest hotels I've ever stayed at. Rooms are clean and recently renovated, the pool is a great place to relax on a hot Tuscan afternoon, the restaurant serves some great pastas, and the drinks at the bar are strong. Gianluca and his family will take great care of you!

Beautiful views of Tuscany. Delicious breakfast included. The drinks are especially good-- whether cappuccino or sangria! Bar is really fun and lively but not loud. Pool and ping pong make for a perfect post wine tasting and touring activity. Family who owns the hotel are incredibly helpful and knowledgable. The rooms are comfortable.

When you are sitting at your desk, stressed out with that coffee, and you're thinking to yourself, "I've been awake since 5 am for the past 3 months, where in the hell can I go for vacation to get a break from this?" This place should be what comes to mind. Situated atop a town that overlooks Tuscany in it's... More

Owned and ran by the Rubegni family Albergo di Murlo is a great way to experience the beauty of Tuscany in comfort. Fluent in both English and Italian the staff is more than able to help you get the most out of your stay in Tuscany, with both local knowledge of the area and with an expedient resolution to any... This hotel is perhaps the best in all of Tuscany. Located in the pleasant town of Vescovado, the Albergo di Murlo sits majestically atop a large hill in the center. You can see the iconic H-O-T-E-L letters that mark the premises from miles in any direction of the area. Upon entering the establishment, expect to be warmly greeted by the... More

I've stayed at the Albergo di Murlo for a couple of summers in a row and it has always been great. The hotel has everything you can ask for including a large pool, nice clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. The hotel restaurant has really top notch Tuscan food, the wild boar stew is probably the best wild boar I've... More
