We stayed here 3 nights as part of an OAT tour group. We had a large room, clean, big bathroom, large bath towels. Can tell it's old, but well-converted/remodeled--very tall ceilings. Bed was a bit hard, but okay. Nice gathering room in a separate building. Dinner in the dining room was very good. Breakfasts were very complete and excellent--wonderful breads.... More

What a wonderful Villa about 30 miles South of Florence! It and 2 others are owned by the same family. The private rooms are terrific and so are the public rooms. Off of the dining room is a comfy lounge and bar. There is a private dining room and a billiard room. That's right - billiards, not pool. Walking the... More

With group so we didn't have a choice. Some people had better rooms than others. Ask to get a newer room. Our room overlooked the sunset on 3rd floor. Quiet and very comfortable. Drying rack only half worked .

I stayed at Villa Sabolini for 3 nights as part of a tour group of 15 people and thoroughly enjoyed this property. It's located in a small village and has a relaxing Tuscany feel. The central patio area was a great place to have a refreshment, read a book or share experiences with friends. My room was located on the... More

Went as a group of 15. Rooms in the stable were great--large, beautiful renovated bathrooms, towel warmers, king beds, decent lighting. Nice variety at breakfast--great coffee machines to fetch your own. Food fresh and kept it replenished until the end of breakfast hour. Other reviews mentioned insects and yes, we had a few, but in October it was cool and... More

Pleasantly surprised! The rooms, food and location are exceptional.Very friendly staff. From a previous post we were not expecting much but that was not the case. The room was large and pleasant. The bathroom is recently renovated. The ambiance was terrific--16th century buildings and post WW ll. The dining room is lovely and food was excellent. We would return!

Characterful old Tuscan home in the country, right on the edge of a small but well used road, so our room on the side of the villa (1 of the better rooms apparently) suffered from traffic noise you wouldn't expect in a country setting. Had to leave windows open at night due to no air-con, which made road noise worse... More

our overall experience was not bad. The Villa has no A/C although the temperatures at night are never too high, it forces you to keep the windows open so that mosquitoes are invited in. We stayed at "la fattoria" which is a wing of the Villa and quite honestly the worst part. The rooms are not at all what the... More

hotel is set on lovely grounds but the rooms are very small with no screens and no A/C so the bugs come in your rooms and the staff is not helpful. Breakfast is ok but not great. Dinner is very tasty. Pool is welcomed since no A/C. If visiting in spring or fall would be ok but not summer.

For Italian ways, this hotel serves the best breakfast , which is very voluminous. Dinner is an option when you book the hotel. We stayed for a week included dinner. Every day there was a new menu and had the choice between two starters and main courses. Dessert was like heaven; homemade pannacotta, tiramisue, pies and iceream. Everyday it was... More
