After staying in some more traditionally styled accommodation during our italy trip, San Lorenzo was a nice little changeup with its more modern decor and fitout. The hotel has been very well renovated with large clean well appointed rooms, good buffet breakfast and a spa attached with some excellent facilities. Colle Di Val was a lovely town (the old part)... We stayed here 6 nights. The room, 116, was very quiet. You could open the window for fresh air or use the air conditioning system that worked well without noise. The decor was traditional modern with clean lines and simple furniture. There was plenty of storage and a small safe. The bathroom had two sinks and and bathtub was large...in... More

We visited Palazzo San Lorenzo at the beginning of November. I had been researching and planning this trip for about a year. I wanted to find the perfect hotel as the HUB to see Tuscany and this hotel seemed to be in the perfect location but it wasn't exactly as I envisioned. It is a beautiful and very clean hotel.... this hotel is very nice with a lovely breakfast and the proximity to other towns in Tuscany is great. The parking is free and very close to the hotel (do not have to walk up steps to get there). There is a great restaurant right across the street. The upper town is very fun and there is an elevator to... More

we stayed here in 2012 on our last trip to Italy. We loved it then due to the price, the service, the town, the room and the breakfasts. so on this trip, we decided to stay there again. it was just as good. there was absolutely no deterioration in any of the items i listed above. If anything they have... More

everything was fine , the bed , the room space , comfort , location ... Except the bathroom stall that had a protection ridiculous and poorly adapted glass , drenching the bathroom floor . Still, we recomend.

As part of an AHI tour of Tuscany we stayed at the San Lorenzo for 7 nights and enjoyed them all. The room was spacious and well decorated, the bed was VERY comfortable, the meals were quite good and the staff couldn't do enough for us. We had a spacious bathroom with luxurious towels and plenty of hot water for... More

We needed a central location for our stay in the Chianti area, and our travel agent set us up in this hotel in the medievil town of Colle di Val D'elsa. When we arrived, we were surprised to find a 4-star hotel in what appeared to be a remote location. Not only does it have a spa, but it has... More

If you are planning a trip to Tuscany, I highly recommend Colle di Val d'Elsa and i highly recommend the Palazzo San Lorenzo. The town is the most beautiful and most charming I have ever stayed in. The hotel was top notch and the service wonderful. The only small drawback is that the locals are not particularly warm, but when... More

This is a lovely hotel, friendly staff, big clean rooms. Very quiet so a decent nights sleep is guaranteed! The only negative was that we couldn't find anywhere well rated in walking distance for dinner. That was either open on a Monday or not fully booked. We ate at the hotel in the end, which was ok.
