We were in a round trip in Tuscany... We had two nights there. Amazing quiet place, fantastic food and wine, great staff... The place is really great. You can feel the nature. I was amazed by the large number of fireflies every night. It seemed to go through thousands of stars ... I recomand this place in the middle of... More

We spent 3 nights here and truly enjoyed our stay. The owners were so friendly. The scenery couldn't be beat. The food was so good we ate there every night instead of worrying about traveling the roads after having a bottle of wine. Room was nice. We didn't stay in the main farmhouse but the other building. If you can... More

Another delayed review from our September honeymoon, but here goes... We chose Il Rigo over Poggio Covilli (although we drove past this place and it is indeed as picturesque as it is in magazines) mostly due to the dinner option and cooking classes. We didn't participate in the cooking classes, but did nave dinner 2 nights. The food was fantastic... More

My husband & I selected IL RIGO to celebrate his retirement & our 20th wedding anniversary. We based our choice on visits there by others from our small Texas town, by examination of its website & printed flyers, & by the reputation of its owners Lorenza Santo & Vittorio Cipolla in preparation of Italian meals & hosts of classical music... Driving down the small winding road and coming to the end to see Il Rigo simply takes your breath away. Our biggest disappoint was that we only stayed 2 nights. It was amazing. Louisa and her never ending smile and laugh were contagious. We ate dinner there both nights. The many course meal was beyond words. Breakfast was huge with... More

Stop searching! Take your hands of that mouse! This is the place you want to stay. I know. My wife n I stayed here for 6 nights this past week and enjoyed every second of it. Il Rigo is a gem set in a magical, enchanting area. I would have to be poet to describe it adequately. I'm not so... More

We enjoyed a wonderful 8 night holiday in Il Rigo at the end of September into the first 3 days of October. Luisa & Matthias made us both very welcome, a lovely characterful room, and varied interesting food every evening. It's in a great location, just 5 minutes up a track off the main San Quirico road, overlooking the wonderful... More

This was a very special treat to visit. Had dinner here during our backroads biking tour, and what a special moment. Private wine tasting overlooking the fields of tuscany, followed by a wonderful homecooked dinner. Risotto made to perfection:) Excellent service and our hosts were very kind and spoke english very well Gratzie

My husband and I stumbled upon Il Rigo's property while hiking through the Tuscan countryside and although we checked out several others we decided to return to Il Rigo based on the price, location and beautiful countryside around it. We rented a car in Siena (about an hour's drive from the property) and returned to Il Rigo to experience more... More

We were here with our entire family for 10 days. What can I say... the region is so beautiful. Photographers, bring your gear; if you love sunbathing, hiking, strolling through historic towns, winetasting, dining, ... - there's something for everyone here. Don't miss Pienza and Montepulciano! Luisa and Matthias are fantastic hosts - multilingual, friendly, welcoming, enthousiastic. Luisa's talent for... More
