This "Relais" is trying to be very good, but they have some stupid faults that they could easily correct. Their heat runs all the time and you cannot control it and that is very hard to tolerate. Their internet is very difficult. Beyond that, it is clean, tastefully done, their restaurant (the trattoria outside behind the hotel) is very good... More

The Palazzo del Capitano is really Exclusive. The details observed, cleaning, quality of breakfast, lovely staff, amazing place remembers the middle ages. Furniture exclusives, space and comfortable. Inside height walls, narrow streets, old villages, Churchill house, all preserved.

This hotel was booked by our walking tour company as part of a week-long package so we didn't have direct visibility to the price. It was however, the most elegant hotel on our tour. This newer, resort-like hotel with all its amenities likely would qualify for 4 or 5 star status. We had asked for two beds (believing we were... More

I went to Tuscany with my husband for the first time and we picked this hotel because was close to Montalcino. It's located in a beautiful historic city, friendly staff, rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing and the price was unbelievable cheap. The only problem was the Internet connection, very slow. The hotel also owns a trattoria in... More

stayed at Urano, a pink room - The room is not big, but spacious enough, bathroom is three steps down - which could be dangerous if you are a "night visitor"! Our main problem with the room was the noise, you hear everything from the hall way and the next door, and the only window faces a small road and... More

Felt like we walked into another world.... the town, the hotel, the property....the quiet, peaceful nature of it all....the incredible breakfast...the well-kept rooms....hot tub, sitting areas, wonderful restaurant....Just exceptional. Thank you! (Just be sure you know how to get there--- drive in to drop off luggage even though a 'restricted area', then park in a lot down a series of... More

Great city, great hotel, beautiful room, delicious food & wine, superb breakfast, wonderful staff... Just one regret: we had no time to try their massage packages which looked amazing. For sure, a place-to-stay in Val d'Orcia!

We stayed here in October 2014 and found the place very charming. The rooms are spacious and the hotel building has an old castle feel. Breakfast is fantastic and the rooms are huge by Italian standards. The courtyard is very cool and they have a jacuzzi on premises (just don't expect super hot water, not in Italy) The only thing... I stayed here two nights on a bike tour. The rooms were large and the beds very comfortable and there is a little refrig stocked with some drinks if you are interested. It is just a beautiful hotel with all the comforts. The breakfast has fresh breads, fruits, meats, cheeses, etc. I also got a massage and it was very... More

If God had a back-garden then it would definitely be Tuscany. This is lovely hotel, with great staff, the most charming old building and boy oh boy what a fresh feast of a breakfast. Do not hesitate in booking a night or two here. We promise you will not be disappointed.
