We stayed at the Relais la Suvera for our Honeymoon in August 2008 and we could not say enough good things about our stay. The location was perfect, it was quiet beautiful countryside. We loved it. We could not fault the hotel, it was absolutely fantastic. The hotel has so much history to it, it was so interesting walking around... more

We recently stayed at Relais La Suvera in a suite with a beautiful terrace in the Frattoria building. Unfortunately the weather wasn't good so we were unable to enjoy the terrace as we would have liked. The rooms were beautiful but I felt that the living room was perhaps a bit too formal to relax in. The bedroom was very... more

This is a most wonderful place, a beautiful country residence, once a Papal Villa and still owned by a Marquis and his Princess wife. History abounds, La Suvera even has its own Church in its extensive, but rather tired, gardens and grounds. The rooms and suites are great and the service could not be faulted, but . . . they... more

We spent two nights here and had a lovely experience. It is in a very secluded area with little roads winding through the old Tuscan hills. Great location to go sightseeing in Siena, San Galgano, San Gimignano and Volterra... San Galgano & San Gimignano are a must see. On the first night, we dined at the main restaurant which we... more

Never have we stayed in a hotel so divine. The spa and pool are impeccable. The service is quick, efficient and polite. The rooms and grounds are luxurious beyond words. Heaven on earth. Room 20 the Pope Villa is extraordinary. Highly recommend La Suvera on all points, and it is a perfect tranquil location to visit Chianti, very nearby. We... more

I visited La Suvera in May of 2007 with my fiancee during a trip to Florence and Tuscany...The hotel is ideally located in Tuscany...It is about 30 minutes from Siena, 90 minutes from Florence and just outside the heart of the Chianti wine region...The hotel is in a restored papal villa and is basically a showcase for the antique collection... more

Our family had a wonderful stay for 5 days at La Suvera. The staff was particularly exceptional. The hotel itself is charming and authentic Tuscan, with gorgeous, tranquil views. I would highly recommend a stay at La Suvera for a relaxing vacation. more

This is a wonderful if expensive hotel. Imagine a hilltop Renaissance Palace with its own chapel, pretty gardens and utter peace and you have La Suvera. Once a papal palace the family stil own and run the hotel - every detail is immaculate from roses on the breakfast tables to suppers flambed before you in the 'informal restaurant'. We went... more

I cannot rave too highly about this place. We stayed for 9 days in late August in the Fox Suite, and I think this was the best place we’ve ever stayed in Europe. It’s worth every penny we paid for the standard of the accommodation, the food and the service. The hotel is about 30-40 minutes drive from Siena, in... more
