Two regrets - 1) I never took a photo of the room and 2)I never read the "Dracula's Castle" Tripadvisor review before. The room they showed us bore ZERO resemblance to the pictures on the website. Musty, had probably not been used or aired for weeks, back of the back of the hotel, no view. On checking in, desultory service... More

Would highly recommend this hotel which is a beautiful complex of old buildings The Staff are very helpful and the food excellent Perhaps the tennis court might benefit from a brush (or even a new surface) but there didn't seem to be too much demand for it other than ourselves!!

I am having a hard time putting my feelings about our stay into words but it was one of the best travel experiences we have ever had. My husband and I and our good friends stayed here for 2 nights and we are already planning a return visit. Our rooms were in the farmhouse and were eclectic and very comfortable... More

I have read the various reviews regarding La Suvera and I'm a little perplexed as to the five star commendations made. On arrival at the hotel for our four night stay we were warmly greeted and made welcome by staff who then escorted us to view two junior suites within the Fattoria building. We chose one of the rooms (room... More

La Suvera was not quite as we had expected, based on the information gleaned prior to booking our four night stay. It is located on the top of a hill with glorious views west and north over the Tuscan countryside. The main building is an historic castle housing some wonderful guest rooms as well as a museum. The majority of... More

We stayed here recently for a week's break. Although the location is difficult to find, it was well worth it. The hotel itself is full of history and character with well kept grounds and garden. The staff were very welcoming and always willing to help. The waiting staff were excellent and attentive at all times. My only disappointment was our room which... More

One feels so much immersed in history and at the same time so much at home at La Suvera that you can barely call it a hotel stay. Within a few days I got emotionally attached to my beautiful suite in the Farmhouse and to all the people working at La Suvera as if I was visiting with the family.... More

Location, grounds, property, general rooms, bedroom - absolutely excellent Food - splendid Staff - in the main were excellent, though disappointed upon arrival in attitude of restaurant manager who wished to hurry our order as they would soon be closing. Would expect this at McDonalds, not here. This is the only negative of the stay( was some years ago, so... More

We only learned that this hotel was the location for an episode in the recent Trip To Italy series with Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon after our return, but having spent a luxurious, relaxing week there, we can see why it was chosen. Slightly quirky but grand, the hotel is located within a former papal villa which is really a... More

I booked a week at Suvera for myself after a long frenetic trip through Tuscany with friends. I could not have chosen a better place to unwind, one really can get swept away in the beauty of this incredible living antique. I would liken the experience to visiting your rich, old, eccentric uncle's italian villa, where he's hired a staff... More
