We camped here, two families in two motorhomes, with children aged 8 and 10, and this qwerky, eccentric campground turned out to be one of our favourites in the whole of South Island. The sites are a stone's throw from the lake, which the children loved, the sites are not as close to each other as in most commercial campgrounds,... More

A lovely position on the edge of the lake and within walking distance of the jetty for tours of Doubtful Sound. What they don't tell you is that wifi is only available between 2 and 10pm and that there are no Dump facilities for grey water or anything else. Shower and loo blocks are adequate but dated. Does not live... More

We booked a room here because it was the ONLY available room in the entire area. Our fault for booking so late. What a sh't hole! It's a hostel, you get a room, common showers, common kitchen, what a ZOO. This is what you're signing up for.

We stayed at this holiday park for one night before going on a cruise to Doubtful Sound. We stayed in a cabin which had a small kitchen, two bedrooms and a very small bathroom. The furniture is dated but everything was clean. There is a guest laundry next to the reception, WIFI is free but only available at the common... More

We reserved a cabin for 2 for 60$nzd per night.the cabin was very small & very old. It was ok to sleep in but only just enough room to get around the bed, no cuboards or shelves to put any items & theelectric plugs were very old. For internet use you had to go to the 'lounge' room where it... More

We followed the GPS and had a hard time trying to locate this place. It is at the end of Gravel Road opposite the petrol station. First of all, the lady at reception was friendly and left a good impression on us. We stayed at a cottage which we can tell is quite dated from the door handle, windows, tables... More

I definitely recommend this place for people that are travelling around the milford area. It was a great place to rest after doing the Kepler Track and it is cheaper than the other backpackers in Te Anau.

We spent one night at this camp ground, paying $37 for a powered site (2 of us). So a little pricy for a small powered site, but hey that's fiordland! Lovely setting, although a warning if you wanted a non power site they were all out of action as too much rain had made them into a mud pit! Agree... More

Had a campervan site for the night. The location is good if you want to walk to the ferry terminal for the trip to Doubtful Sound. But the showers and toilets are way below what should be expected for the price. This is a park priced on its location and not a lot of work has been put into it... More

We spent an afternoon and night at the Possum Lodge in our campvan to be nearby for the cruise to Doubtful Sound in the morning. I loved it...and it is well loved. The kitchen is vintage, clean and wonderful, the showers were nice and hot. I enjoyed seeing their handiwork everywhere...the place is obviously tended with love and creativity. There... More
