Had a campervan site for the night. The location is good if you want to walk to the ferry terminal for the trip to Doubtful Sound. But the showers and toilets are way below what should be expected for the price. This is a park priced on its location and not a lot of work has been put into it... More

We spent an afternoon and night at the Possum Lodge in our campvan to be nearby for the cruise to Doubtful Sound in the morning. I loved it...and it is well loved. The kitchen is vintage, clean and wonderful, the showers were nice and hot. I enjoyed seeing their handiwork everywhere...the place is obviously tended with love and creativity. There... More

We stayed in the motel type accommodation which is very dated but clean and neat and well kept. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. Only stayed overnight but were comfortable and would recommend it.

Pros: * beautiful location, in the middle of the forest, near the lake. * Friendly owners. But: * bathroom is not convenient and not clean. This is not adapted for children. * Toilets are very far and dirty. * Internet not working (free but I would prefer to pay and have a decent service) * many sandflies * furniture in... More

Nice small camp with all you need. Very clean, fully equiped kitchen, internet. Since it is right next to the lake you can have a walk along the shore and chill or go swimming. Perfwct alternative to thw very crowded Te Anau. We stayed at the Possum for 2 days before continuing to Milford Sound

A delightful small campsite with a family feel, it was ideal for us in our small camper van, we plugged into a power site and enjoyed a good hot shower. Nestled in some bush on the edge of the Lake the bird song was a treat to be hearing. The wifi is limited so don't expect to be able to... More

Can't fault this place really for the price we paid. Our cabin was clean and had everything we required, we were close to the facilities for hot showers and toilets. The kitchen is well stocked with lots of cooking essentials, the lounge is very basic but we didn't need to use it anyway. Very polite lady who I assume runs... More

A small, and basic camping ground. Powered and non-powered sites. Cabins. Tentsites. The kitchen, showers, and laundry are basic, no frills, but all functioning and adequate. There is one barbecue that is shared, with adjoining table. Friendly atmosphere. Very close, adjacent to the lake, beautiful walk.

This was a charming, little motorhome park but fairly basic. The Good: 1. 5 minutes away from the Doubtful sound ferry terminal. 2. Cozy, small, charming, tucked away in the woods. 3. Clean showers with hair-dryers! 4. Decent service. The Not so good: 1. Basic showers. Individual shower cabins had a curtain, not a door, and felt somewhat flimsy, especially... More

We booked for two nights in the Manapouri / Tu Anau area and stayed for four. It was cold a rainy but the hiking is great. As well we stayed in number 3 cottage which was just adorable. Very cozy and snug and one of the best equipped kitchens yet. Great little two burner oven unit all sorts of good... More
