This is an old hotel and the age is showing. The staff are however very helpful (nice to see in a government run place) and serve with a smile. Rooms are where the age really shows and are just about OK, but you really deserve better for the price. There is WiFi in the lobby but not in the rooms... More

Well situated with an excellent view over some of Kohima. Friendly & helpful staff. My room was comfortable but the dated & on reflection rather expensive. There's a good restaurant attached, there was absolutely nothing to do on New Years' Eve & the front gates were still locked at 10pm.

We went to Kohima as part of a two week trip to NE India, and our prime aim was to visit the War Cemetery. We had booked a suite in the hotel Japfu hoping that it would be better than some of the reviews had indicated. It was dreadful. The suites are located in a damp dark basement. Ours had... More

The centrally located hotel is safe and secured for a comfortable stay at Kohima. The orientation of the building, size of the rooms, toilet facilities shall ensure cleanliness and comfort within the well ventilated rooms. The restaurant serves good food and staffs and attendants are well behaved and cordial. It has laundry services. The front office facilitates the guests in... More

It was good experience, people are courteous, food was good and inexpensive compared to restaurants in other parts, maintenance was good, except for the carpeting. However, Roti (Indian bread) and continental food were not tasted. Being a Govt run Hotel, very secure; took my vehicle and had no problem whatsoever, contrary to popular misgivings outside about Nagaland . Place worth... More

The only good thing about this hotel is its location which is atop a hill, hence bit far off from hustle bustle of main town. But for the price it charges, its services are extremely poor. The rooms have a nice view with small covered balcony but the dirty carpeting all through the rooms seems to not have been cleaned... More

Amongst the best once upon a time in Kohima but unfortunately it is not so anymore. The best part if the hotel is its location and accessibility to public transport and shops close by. The rooms unfortunately are in poor conditions with old carpets and do not seem to be ventilated well. In terms of space it is quite well... More
