The country of Tajmahal does not know how to do construction, be it a hotel or a house/apartment or a road. The house is a heritage house but it never got renovated properly. It has all sorts of wonderful Naga artifacts, some of which are also for sale. I called the evening before arriving while I was taking a night... More

I enjoyed my stay here. Sushma and Avon were perfect hosts, helping me plan my sightseeing etc. Everything worked well in the room - The heating, hot water ( I was travelling in the last week of Nov). Though power is erratic in Nagaland but Razhu Pru had inverter backup (I guess everyone in Nagaland does). For some strange reason... More

Kohima is an expensive town when it comes to accommodation and not all the hotels that charge insanely high rates are worth the money you pay for it. Razhu Pru wasn't either. I settled on this only because The Heritage was full and almost every other place was dire and over-priced. I got a nice room with the sun coming... More

The young lady who runs the place is all business but not in a good sense. While we were there (4 nights) they were repainting all the furniture which means that the common living area was mostly not available for us to use. She did not care about the inconvenience to us, her guests. On our last day the furniture... More

Had some work in Kohima, so checked in with the family. The largest room was for us; in fact we were the only guests during this period. Maybe, being off season, the staff seemed to be off the boil and though our requirements were always met, you had to hunt out the staff. The fixed Naga meal was excellent, though... More

The old building and the decor are the best features of this place. It had everything...yet it lacked something. Probably the fact that there was a certain absence of genuine care. The staff were trying to be helpful but it wasn't enough. Our room was big in size but there wasn't much natural light and the furnishing was a bit... More

A cosy and old heritage residence turned into a guest house up in the 'village' above and yet within Kohima town. A family home that has open its doors to visitors and guests alike. Cosy rooms that are well done and properly maintained. Slim staff but no problems because they do not have too many rooms and so you get... More

In April 2014, nine of us took over the Razhu Pru guest house as part of the 70th anniversary commemorations of the Imphal / Kohima battles of World War II. Overall the Razhu Pru was clean, the toilets flushed, and if you timed the rolling black outs correctly, you could get a hot shower near the time you wanted one.... More

It's a heritage property therefore be prepared for lots of wood - floors, ceiling, furniture, beams & columns et all. The rooms are cozy, clean and well furnished. Food is good but a little expensive. It has interesting lanes around it where you can go on long, rambling walks around Kohima village. When we visited the other rooms were not... More

Clean rooms in a heritage building with wooden floorboards. Traditional Naga food available on-site at reasonable cost. Short walk into the centre of Kohima. Wifi included (although not so fast). Some neighbour noise due to the lack of sound-insulation in the heritage building (i.e. the floorboards) and from TV in the next room being turned up too loud. Probably the... More
