What a find. This lovely little place used to be the Deputy Commissioners House and still retains much of the memorabilia from age gone by It is a very comfortable and you can while away a few hours in peace and tranquility There are only 3 rooms, individually designed in keeping with tradition The staff are lovely, friendly and welcoming... Sometime you just can't put a price on a experience, and staying at "The Heritage" is one them. A sanctuary of peace and elegance midst the chaos which is Kohima. Be it the well manicured garden, the wooden floors, the high ceiling, the elaborate bathrooms, all of these and much more are glimpse in the glorious past, everything which was... More

Amazing property at kohima. Old style bungalow at its colonial charm. Very peaceful place along with great views and very comfortable stay. I think this is the best option in Kohima if you love to stay at peaceful place. also note that you need to book the room very much in advance.

The Heritage is the most beautiful hotel in kohima. Located in a hill, it is a colonial bungalow converted to hotel. The wooden floor, nicely done fire place , restaurant carry colonial charm. The hotel is extremely clean. The area surrounding the hotel building is nicely decorated with garden and flower tubs. The manager was very helpful. Overall my stay... More

The Heritage is inside the old Deputy Comissioner's Bungalow and a stay here gives an insight into the colonial past of Nagaland. Some of the rooms leave the impression that the British have just left them... Food isn't great and has to be ordered in advance. The garden around the place is wonderful for children and as the place is... More

Spent 2 nights here and it was long enough - the room was large and clean, but both room and bathroom were FREEZING as soon as the sun disappears around 4.30pm - and Kohima closes down. The restaurant/dining room was equally cold, along with the lounge. No heating supplied in any of the public areas, and our room had a... More

Located on Officer's hill and being the old deputy commissioner's bungalow, this hotel was the highlight of my trip to Kohima. If I were to suggest anyone visiting Kohima, I woulld definitely recommend to stay at this place and probably do nothing else for days. Its a typical writer's spot with very beautifully maintained bungalow, great views, plantations and all... More

Very clse to city center, nice food and excellent royal stay. This was the cheapest hotel I found in Kohima an also the best one. This is way better than Japfu. This was old deputy commissioner's bungalow at the british times. Awesome place and if you are in Kohima this is the place to stay

This old bungalow is full of memories from the past. This was the British commissioners bungalow and it is built in the sample rambling style as the tea estate bungalows in Sri Lanka. It is about 125 years old ans natrallly shows the age. A bit of remodeling has improved the bathrooms but still leaking and not the easiest to... More
