Only because I listed specifics in my booking plan was I able to force the management to refund money as my wife and I had to check out earlier than planned. I agree entirely with petros09. Nothing has changed. There is a fraud attitude here - the hotel is obligated to advise all booking agents if they have problems; they... More

I would never again stay at the Messinian Bay Hotel in Kalamata. Admittedly the smart exterior gives one the impression that the facilities and service will also be up to the same standard. As a former Olympic Attaché, responsible for the Athletes, Sponsors, Government Officials and VIPs of Team GB during the Athens 2004 Olympics, I would never recommend the... More

We stayed here the early part of October and unfortunately the pools and restaurant were closed. However this did not spoil our stay as we could sample the very good tavernas in Kalamata town. The hotel was clean and the room we had was excellent - apart from the shower room being very small and which had an enormous wash... More

This is the second time that we stay at Messinian Bay hotel and we enjoyed it the same as in our first stay 3 years ago. The room is very cozy, nicely decorated, perfectly sized and with a balcony overlooking the sea and the gulf of Kalamata. At night we were falling asleep hearing the sound of the sea. The... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Messinian Bay. It's right by the sea facing one of the most beautiful bays in the Peloponnese. The restaurant is on the terrace overlooking the bay: the food is very good and with reasonable prices and the staff are very helpful and efficient. The breakfasts were spectacular. Our room had the same view,... More

the hotel is nothing special, old but refurnished, although clean and nice. the special thing is the location: not too far from the city of kalamata not too close. also it is quite near to many places you can visit for excursions: little madinia, big madinia, akrogialli, sadova, and the very best kardamilli where the house of ''Paddy'' (Patrick Leigh... It was only a stop over for a night but we really enjoyed our stay and would go back. Great facilities great pool and has its own beach. Bathroom very small. Fantastic breakfast. Hotel does not promote the restaurant for dinner or lunch or the bars, so it lucks life. Staff very good at reception. Needs more marketing to keep... More

This Messinian Bay Hotel has a great location nestled by the beach with great views and two fantastic swimming pools. It is the perfect setting for a Resort Style Family Holiday. The layout of the Hotel is impressive with vast expansive areas including the bar, indoor/outdoor dining and many pleasant relaxing lounge areas. All the staff were professional, helpful and... Stayed for 2 days and nights for a friendly couple's wedding. We left the hotel area just for one hour to go to the church. There were so many things to do, that time passed quickly: have breakfast from the great buffet (try the traditional "lalagia", "loukoumades" and pies) under the shade, watching little boats sailing in the bay, enjoy...
