We visited Gwalior during 14-15 May 2015. Our stay in Usha Kiran Palace was comfortable. The hotel is in palace building or rather in extended quarters of palace. It has old world charm with courtyards, running fountains and lawns. Food is excellent and staff is courteous. It would be better if they give more information on services available with contact... We had an enormous room with comfortable beds, a large bathroom, a dressing room, and a good seating area with sofa, table and armchairs. Outside our room was another open air seating area overlooking a pretty courtyard with fountain near the restaurant, where you can eat inside or outside. The breakfast was excellent and included banana pancakes and dosas to... More

A heritage hotel oozing character, the Usha Kiran Palace has beautiful grounds and rooms. But it is the hotel's thoughtful and attentive staff, together with a superb chef--Chef Rakesh--whose hospitality and creative flair in the kitchen, made our stay one of our most memorable holidays. What a wonderful surprise to find a chef of his calibre in sleepy Gwalior!

Went for lunch at their restaurant. Had the royal company of flies and mosquitoes - manager and others made no effort to give us a better table. Dirtiest glass I was ever served a beer in, which was replaced but with absolutely no remorse or recompense. Decent food, overpriced of course.
