Deo Bagh was a delight. Full of surprises and a photographers dream. The rooms were excellent and the bathroom huge. The food was excellent and the grounds contained hidden treasures all over the place. Unfortunately we only had one night here and arrived mid afternoon. There are decorated temples on the grounds, covered with masses of sculptures. Peacocks roam the... More

Gwalior is a forgettable place, with a forgettable fort, redeemed by this charming hotel. Your time will be much better spent investigating the grounds of this cosy mahel than braving the noise, dirt and crowds of the city. The peaceful green gardens are a great place to read or watch the peacocks, the compound contains some delightfully bat-infested disused temples... More

A rare hidden gem that even people of Gwalior are not aware of. We saw this property on Booking.com and decided to give it a try. Beautiful architecture, great lawns, excellent and helpful staff an above all beautiful temples in the compound. Pity such gem of temples are lying in ruins. Only glitch is the sound of blaring music which... More

This is one of the best hotels in our 22-day tour in India, immersed as it is in greenery, with the only noises being those of a variety of birds tweeting in the park among which some beautiful peacocks moving freely but without bothering the guests. Extremely clean, with very large rooms nicely furnished and decorated, with A/C working and... More

This little gem is located a bit out side the main area of the city. (Therefore a good getaway spot with a lot of privacy!) However it makes up for location in it's charming architecture and generous hospitality! Special shout out to all the waiters servers and concierge (including Mr Narayan and Mr Ankit) who made my stay very memorable.

It is a 16th century summer house of the royal family. The family still resides here. You have to come around 200 mtrs inside from the gate for the reception, passing through orchids. The property has 15 spacious rooms named on the family members of the Royal Family. The room tariffs are at INR 4000, 5000 and 6000. There is... More

Had a very good stay at the property, which has a sprawling lawn and heritage rooms spread around it. Being located slightly away from the main road, it is very quiet and populated with peacocks, squirrels and chirping birds. The menu was rich and varied, with good preparations on all days.

Deo Bagh was a haven of peace in the middle of Gwalior. All on its own, with all the seclusion you could need on a romantic trip (pity that I was on a work trip, but it was with a friend so still, hifives all around!) The ambience, facilities in the room, the decor, is all lovely. The food is... More

A pleasant five hour drive from Delhi, Deobagh is unqiue place. The hotel itself is beautiful - lovely rooms that open out onto the gardens each with private courtyards. Gorgeous lawns. But the real gem is the setting - the grounds are large and like a lush green forest with intricately carved cenotaphs in the midst. Reminds you of Angokwat.... More
