Just stayed for a week at the vangelis with a 2 and 5 yr old. Its definitely not a 4* but a 3*. Our apartment was basic but clean, spacious with a balcony that overlooked a roof (not very nice) but also with a seaview (which we were pleasantly surprised at). The hotel is in the centre of tourist part of Protaras so that can be great or not great, depending what you like. Close to the beach too. We thought the hotel was a bit drab and tacky looking and definitely does not deserve its stars rating. Overall, it was OK as we only stayed 4 nights in Cyprus. more

I have just returned from the Vangelis. It was a pleasent stay and like other reviews the rooms were really clean. The maids were nice and changed your lined twice a week with clean towels.
