First off, we didn't want to stay here, but it was the nicest hotel close to Sychrov zámek, where the 15th Scottish games were being held. This was a fantastic find. Not only is Hruba Skala a beautiful location, the zámek (castle or château) was fantastic, with brilliant views. The room we had had fantastic views over the rock formations... More

The converted castle was chosen as my grandchild is keen on princesses and castles. The moated castle with a fairy tale wedding going on ( he was happy he saw seven princesses) was picturesque. The hotel has no lifts, can be very noisy if the restaurant outside is going on or there is a function. The rooms are large but... More

Hotel with traditional classic interior. We took the upgrade to a room in the castle, this was really the best choice: beautiful views from our room over the scenic rocks. A recommendation 4 a romantic stay in the woods of Ceski Raj (indeed the Bohemian paradise).

My husband and I stayed here for a wedding we attended and have noted the following: 1. Our room - It was at the bare minimum - motel quality. We were under the impression we would have been booked in one of the newer rooms located in the main buildings. It was disappointing because I believed we paid for that... More

Just attended a wedding here for some family and I don't have any regrets! Visually you will be knocked off your seats! The view from my room and just about every room I believe is facing off into a vast valley and you can see farmlands that seems to continue endlessly into the horizon... But lets not only talk about... More

Definitely one of top picks for the Czech Republic, because of: + Amazing magical location in the Czech Paradise area (nature/history exceptional, believe me!) + Reliably good standard of food and drinks + Highly above average: friendly and helpful staff (tried heavily, I managed to change smoothly menu for our group an hour before the dinner when the hotel served... This place is absolutely romantic one, especially if you go there in winter when there are almost no tourists and only deer walks below the chateau. The chateau is located on a sandstone rock in the wonderful part of the Czech Republic called symptomatically "Czech Paradise" with a magnificent view of the "rocky town" (on North) and the ruin "Trosky"... We stayed one weekend and it was great experience. The nature is one of the best in Czech and Hotel Hruba Skala has beautiful atmosphere. Castle on the rock with beautiful view. Hostel was very nice and quite cheap for this opportunity to sleep on the castle:). Services, food and personal was very kind and helpful. They have one of... More

The hotel is located in the Hruba Skala castle, amazing place on top of sandstone rocks. The perfect place for a quiet holiday and especially ceremonial occasions. The hotel offers several types of accommodation packages that include a variety of soothing treatments such as nordic walking, breathing exercises, massages etc. In the lower part of the castle there is a... Comfort oasis among high stone monoliths, feels like you are in a castle in the clouds. Views are never ending looking over forests from the high perches or at small village homes in the valleys. Winding road up is fun to drive - We walked down and back up for a real workout, followed by a beer in the garden.... More
