We had a week in this hotel with our older teenage children. If you are picky you can find fault. However, the staff are excellent and we have never been looked after better by our waiter, reception and cleaning staff. The room is actually quite spacious and sitting on the balcony looking over the fjord was a highlight. Our children... More

we stayed here three nights as part of our inghams tour, the hotel has wonderful views lovely staff and fantastic food. This more than compensates for the tired décor, very quiet village and not a lot to do once you have been on the trips available but a great place to relax and unwind.

This hotel was much worse than we expected. The only positives were the view and the opportunity at breakfast to make a packed lunch. The hotel is extremely worn with dirty carpets and windows, broken glass, faulty electrics and plumbing, tired public rooms and mediocre food. The attitude of the staff and the Inghams rep indicated that they had heard... More

We stayed here for three nights of part of inghams highlights of Norway tour. The hotel was very quiet but we were treat like royalty. We had the best tables reserved for us in the restaurant and there was a good choice of food, a bonus was been able to pack up a lunch box each day from the breakfast... More

Spent 2 nights here, moved from another hotel due to building work. The location is quite central which was an advantage. The room was comfortable and clean, a bit short of storage and the bathroom could do with a face lift. Fantastic view of the fjord. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived there was no restaurant... More

My husband and I booked a trip to the Ulvik Hotel for our honeymoon and had a wonderful stay. Our flight had been delayed on consequently we didnt arrive at the hotel until after the evening meal had finished, however the manager George had plated us up a fine supper and generously (especially since this is Norway) offered my husband... Spent 2 nights here located on the stunning Hardangerfjord - the scenery is all there is (and all you should want) in the small hamlet of Ulvik. Very friendly, English-speaking staff. Old building, decent rooms, but the lift is noisy - time for a new one (or two). Lovely buffet breakfast, and buffet dinner is typically Norway-expensive, but offers delicious... More

If you want to stay the night in Ulvik during your trip in the fjord, this hotel may be the great place to sleep one night. Indeed, most of the rooms have a view on the fjord which is beautiful especially at night !!! Concerning the staff, everyone is always happy to help and helpful. We decided not to eat... More

Ulvik is nicely situated on a sidearm of Hardangerfjord but does not offer too much to visitors apart from a very quiet stay. The village has only 3 hotels, all of the RICA group, which consequently has a monopoly. Prices for hotelrooms are very steep. Considering the pricelevel of the largest, RICA Brakanes, we decided to book in the RICA... More

The hotel is perfectly situated on the fjord. The commons areas and half the rooms had really nice views. The room was large by Norway standards and the beds were good. We could hear the elevator from our room, halfway down the hall, but they shut it off at 11 pm. There was TV but no English-language stations. The commons... More
